Shut it Down! I die!!

Do you watch The Rachel Zoe Project? It is hands down my favorite show in the world...I think it tops Desperate, and Tori and Dean!

Rachel Zoe could be my favorite person ever and I also really like how Taylor says it like it is. And you know I'm a sucker for celebs and fashion...always have been, always will be.

Gearing up for our big move!

We're really moving I guess....our bank, realtor, and builder assure us!!!!! Wednesday is the big day....so we started "seriously" packing yesterday afternoon after an event I attended for the Junior League. Our house is in shambles! We have lots of things in boxes, but there isn't a lot of room to put those boxes. We have furniture pushed against the walls and we are cleaning out closets, drawers, and cabinets. But, it will all be worth it in the end....after we move I'll have 5 days of fall break to look forward to! Here is some of the chaos!

Just the girls tonight!

So, I'm sitting here, alone, watching the Miss Thomasville pageant on tv....comfy on our king sized bed covered in a sea of damask fabric...alone. Well, technically with my Blakely girl too. Matt is at a business dinner in Valdosta tonight and I feel like I'm in college again. I used to get all ready for bed and go into my room, watch tv and work on schoolwork. I still do that now, but usually Matt is in the other room or in here with me. It feels WEIRD!

Yep, that's our bedding!

I'm preparing for a "presentation" that I have to give to the kindergarten teachers at my school tomorrow. But, I love a good pageant, so that is distracting me. And now it is starting to thunder and so I'm sort of feeling scared. :) In case you didn't know, I'm the biggest scaredy cat/baby in the world about, well...everthing! Haha!

I wonder who will win and get to go to the Miss Georgia Pageant in June???

Emotions + Sunday Night = A bubble bath kind of night!

10 days y'all! That is all that we have left in our current/first house! The memories are beginning to consume my thoughts and as we're packing up and moving on, I'm starting to feel a little bit sad :( I mean, I am also brimming with excitment though. My friend Becky jokes that in the past 6 weeks I have burned a tank of gas a day riding by the new house and checking in all the windows! haha! I don't know...it might be just my emotional side kicking in...on top of a Sunday night (the end to a great weekend, and me not wanting to go back to school). The Fray, Colbie Calliat, and Coldplay may not be helping either :)

Changing the subject. We just had a weekend full of food it seems. We ate dinner at The Red Elephant in north Tally last night and it was awesome! Boiled peanuts for an appetizer and elephant ears for dessert! Matt knows the owner so he gave us lots of free appetizer coupons. I can't wait to go back. I made Matty promise to take me back for a Friday night date...that just sounds fun to me!

Yum! This would be a great dessert for 4 people to share. Grad girls trip anyone?

And How 'bout them DAWGS! What an awesome football game! I was glued to the screen!!

Church was awesome this morning...we are trying to go to early service, and have made it..barely..the past 2 Sundays! After church, we ate brunch at Ruby Tuesday's b/c we had a buy one get one free coupon. It was really yummy! Then we settled in for an early nap at 12 noon! We were up by 1:30 and made a trip to Lowe's for some hardware and then went to an open house at one of our favorite houses...the inside didn't disappoint!

After a wonderful church service!

One of the new solid wood side tables that I got for a STEAL thanks to my bargaining hubby. I changed the hardware to these birdcage oil rubbed bronze ones (my new favorites)! The other table is my very favorite though. I'll post pictures after we move!

Our house is clean and full of boxes right now. 10 days and counting!

DAWGS VS. HOGS

I've been excited about gameday all week long! My two favorite SEC teams! I'm pulling for the Bulldogs of course....I just hope that Arkansas scores once so that I can hear then call those hogs...lol Woooooo Pig Sooie :) But then I want there to be a whole bunch of sic em, woof woof woof too!

I am soooooo excited about our plans for the day! We are going to Tallahassee to furniture "window shop"! Maybe we'll come home with a great find or two, but we're really just pricing things right now.

Then tonight we'll be packing in our Dawg pj's and watching the game! I heart Saturdays!!!!!!

The JSL Provisional Class of 2009-2010

Ok, I realize that I just made 2 back to back posts in less than 2 minutes :) But as soon as I logged off, I had this cute picture in my e-mail!

These are the girls that I will be spending a lot of time with over this year! I can't wait!

So many people were taking pictures at once, that everyone is looking different ways. Oh well, it is still cute! This was at our first provisional social at a clubhouse in town :)

It's just another Manic Monday!

Surprise! Look what I got! Matty surprised me with them last night! He said he loved the bright colors and how they match our kitchen...awww! I am especially fond of the palm frond looking things! :)

There is nothing that I love more than a $5 bouquet of flowers from Wal-Mart or Publix to brighten up our home. I've probably only got them 3 times in the past year, but they just make me so darn happy!

Remember those chrysanthemums I got for Grandparent's day almost a week and a half ago? They are still looking as fresh as ever. Turns out they are the longest lasting cut flowers or something. I googled it b/c I was so impressed that they weren't wilted at all after 7 days.

Now, about Manic Monday...I had a great day at school, got tons of accomplished today...and am already settled in bed for the night at 8:00pm. We ate supper at 5:30, so I still had time to take a bubble bath and read...I really like when my nights feel long. Did I mention it is raining again? I love the soothing sound of it hitting the air conditioner outside of our bedroom...lol :) I really do, maybe I would like to have a tin roof one day. As always, I'm workin' for the weekend!

Strength

Words can not express how sweet I think this picture is! It is of my good friend, LeAnn, opening her gifts at her baby shower. My other two good friends, Becky and Lynn, are in the picture (to the left of her) watching and supporting her. I am so thankful for my friends!

After the shower, we hit the Sidewalk Sale downtown for a few hours, then picked up some yummy chicken salad from The Scoop for lunch! It started raining as I was driving home from Becky's and poured the rest of the night. Matt's Dad and Ellen came into town and we went to the house and then ate dinner at Beef O'Brady's. I spent the rest of the evening watching football with Matty. We opted out of the VSU game (SAD) since the weather was yucky.

Tony Nolan spoke at our church this morning and it was awesome!! After a fun-filled weekend though, I'm struggling. I don't want to prepare for another work week already!

Isaiah40:29
29 He gives power to those who are tired and worn out; he offers strength to the weak.

Sometimes the upcoming week overwhelms me so that I just have to get down on my knees and beg for strenth. I haven't been let down yet :)

I am a pandora addict at school. I listen to Kari Jobe radio every break I have and sometimes really lightly at naptime. They play a lot of Hillsong (which I love) and I never fail to hear this song at least 3 times a day. The opening lyric strikes a chord with me each time...it sort of knocks the breath right out of me.

"And now the weak, say I have strenth." There's just something about those simple words.

Since I've been trying to muster up some stength today...this song goes right along with powerful (another of my faves)! I can't stand when I can't find them singing it live! :)

Psalm27:1
1 The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?

Psalm119:28
28 My soul is weary with sorrow: strengthen me according to your word.

Isaiah40:31
31 But those who wait on the Lord will find new strength. They will fly on wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.

Isaiah41:10
10 Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

Ephesians6:10
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might.

Philippians4:13
13 I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.

I HEART SHOPPING!

One of my favorite quotes is from my favorite lady, Rachel Zoe. I think that it desribes me and my feelings about the store below perfectly.

"I don't know why I have the sudden urge to shop like a lunatic!"

I picked my friend, Becky, up from her house and we went to a cute store in town, then hit downtown to look for a few shower gifts for our friend, LeAnn. My friends, LeAnn and Stewart just adopted a precious baby girl, named Georgia. Becky and I got some really cute gifts for them! And I just loved looking at all the cute baby stuff. I feel that shopping for baby things will be a big problem for me when I am pregnant one day! Ha!

Anyway, I basically know exactly what to get Becky for birthday's and Christmas's for years to come now. She liked everything. I figured out that she just never buys cute stuff for herself...however, she is one amazing gift giver and spoils her girls rotten.

I found some cute stuff that I wanted to buy my support teacher too. I thought of just making her a little basket of goodies just because...but who I am to even think about that....I'm broke. Matt takes every cent that I make and saves it...which is a good thing!
But there is a LOT of super cute finds in our downtown and lots of FALL things which I'm always a sucker for!

We have a lot planned for this weekend. However, tonight I'm resting...5 birhtday's in one week is a lot (5 of my babies turned 6 this week...and we had cupcakes for each one) is enough to wear anyone out!

Wordless Wednesday...almost :)

After working nonstop...getting ahead in lesson plans, assessments, newsletters, etc....I guess I got in the mood for some Fall like things (as I'm beginning to see signs of apples, pumpkins, and holiday's in my lesson plans)...windows open, hot apple cider, burning my Yankee Caramel Apple candle, and watching fall tv....So You Think You Can Dance and GLEE!!!

On top of all of this hapiness....Wed. night church activities started back tonight! I got to see great friends last night at league and then again tonight! I am thankful!

Baby Fever

Everyone I know is pregnant, or just had a baby....did you know that? :) Since Emily has been home with baby Bryson, the flu has been going around, so nobody could go visit her. Well, my old community H (the girls I taught with at Garrison in 07-08) decided to bring Emily and Brian dinner, since she was a member of our great community. So Thursday, we stopped by the Ross household for a good time.

A picture of my salad all packed up and ready to go!

Ann and Dara picked up Sonny's and I made a HUGE salad and got dinner rolls from The Bread Wagon here in town. Donna dropped by later on and brought them her famous, yummy, banana pudding for dessert.

Ann was so in love with Bryson :)

New mama, Emily, with her baby boy.

One Proud Daddy.

I didn't get any pictures of Dara or I.

We stayed over at the Ross' for about 2 hours and held baby Bryson, and let Emily and Brian have a "romantic" dinner in the kitchen by themselves. They were very grateful and worn out. And we LOVED every second.

After we left their house, Dara, Ann, and I went to Old Mexico and caught up on life for another 2 hours! It was great. Sweet Dunny treated us to supper...which was so nice! What a great ending to a long week.

Every Dawg has its Day

Unfortunately...today wasn't a good one for the Georgia Bulldogs.
It was a hard game to watch, I'll admit.

I was decked out in my red and black...drinkng a Sonic cherry diet dr. pepper....and even though we lost, I'm still excited about College Gameday and all the teams in the SEC!! Football means Fall...gotta love this time of year!

GOOO DAWGS! Sic em!

Could this day get any better??

5:50 pm on Friday night and I'm in my Dawg PJ's! This might sound strange to some people..but to me it sounds great! It has been a long week and a crazy full moon/Grandparents Day/Mother Goose Day Friday at my school! I busted my butt after school and got my plans finished and everything set out for Tuesday and now I'm in relaxation mode for the long weekend.

I decorated in red/black...GO DAWGS! for Grandparents Day this morning :) I love it!

I got all but 4 books on my wish list from parents and my support teacher!! What a blessing! This is the first book fair that I haven't had to spend a fortune at. These are some of my new favorites!

I'm going to finish reading a really great book tonight (I just picked up a book this week that I started this summer at the beach...I took about a month off from reading for pleasure which is a long time for me...b/c of work chaos) and watch a movie with Matty. Not to mention we are having taco night!! Tomorrow I'll be going to Tallahassee and watching the Georgia Game!!! Then, my parents and brother are coming on Sunday to see our house *hopefully*! I will not be getting out of bed on Monday...just in case you were wondering. I'll be watching tv and movies all day...really, I will.

I love the anticipation of a great, relaxing weekend. I love the breeze and feeling of Fall in the air, heck, I even liked the smell of the school buses this afternoon :)

This picture will probably make you laugh. We all had to dress up today. Nothing like feeling professional in front of 50 grandparent's!! It is so funny when your principal chases you down to take your picture. Me, my support, and inclusion teacher were the 3 blind mice! It is so funny to see everyone's costumes. The best part is how much the kids LOVE it. They become obsessed. I think half of my class made their own mouse ears at centers. And everytime I took my sunglasses off they would remind me that I was supposed to be blind!!! haha! Just another reason why I love my job!

To teach or not to teach??

Matt and I were asked to teach 1st grade Sunday School today! I immediately said "NO" to the person that asked me for another person that I haven't spoken to yet. But now I feel bad because I always say "YES" and I think it would be really fun, and I know it would be a blessing to us. I would probably learn so much and I've never taught Sunday School before.

BUT...
We've been really excited about trying new classes and finding a perfect fit for us right now, since we've kind of outgrown the Newlyweds class. And I'm around babies all day and kind of want a break. PLUS, we would have to be back in town every Sunday and both of our families live out of town...3 and 5 hours away!

I'm torn. I'm going to think about it a lot tonight. So my question and prayer is, to teach or not to teach??
