10 year anniversary and Sea Island getaway!

So for our ten year anniversary back in June we tried to get a babysitter (something we never do) and asked some family but just couldn't find anyone to watch the girls, so we took them with us to Tallahassee. We planned on dinner at Bella Bella...it's one of our favorites but also a good place to bring kids bc it's loud! Well it just happened to be the one day the entire summer that MC fell asleep in the car and got a power nap, so she never fell asleep for her regular nap. No nap meant she was melting down left and right. We knew going out to dinner would be miserable and by that time she had fallen asleep in the car! So...Bella Bella take out it was! We ate while she slept. When she woke up we went to Cascades park and watched the water show...twice! We all loved it and it was a happy end to our anniversary! Family time is our favorite.

When we were planning our little anniversary trip. We originally decided to go to Martha's Vineyard...but the thought of lugging a breast pump that far and being away from Anna Claire while she is so little stresses me out! So instead we chose Sea Island, we love coastal GA, and it is close to my parents house for fast access to our babies! Well it was perfect! Beautiful and relaxing! I hardly got any pictures but it was just what we needed. 2 nights seemed like an eternity. 

We will definitely go back...and bring the girls next time! Highlights were breakfast at the market, marsh!, sitting in Adirondacks at tech lodge watching the sunset, relaxing at the beach club, and stopping by The Bailey Boys warehouse on the way home. :)

I have a favorite song right now too! Every time I get in my car the song Thy Will is on! So it's my summer song I guess...and pretty fitting for this current/ upcoming season of my life.

Ballet camp and one happy mama!

I've always wanted to be a dance mom...I danced pretty seriously until I was 15, and then I quit to play sports. But I'll always love it! The Nutcracker was my favorite growing up and still is...so when we moved to Thomasville I found a studio that performed it every year and would make Matt take me. I knew that I wanted MC to start taking at 2 but the classes were only offered during the day while I was working....until now! I signed Molly Caroline up for ballet this week! They decided to offer a class after school  for her age this year! We're both excited and I hope she loves it for at least a couple of years of not longer!

She got to do an Alice in Wonderland ballet camp with this dance company at the end of June. She has the ballet bug for sure! They had a tea party, an unbirthday party, got to dance with all the characters, and so much more! Foxy came to visit so she could see the show at the end of the week...which MC pouted through half of it bc a girl wouldn't talk to her! But then did great at the end! 

7 months old!

Anna Claire! You are the happiest baby we know! 

You roll everywhere and move all over the place! We lay you on a blanket or may but you always roll off!

You say consonant sounds like dada, nana, and mama. 

You cut two teeth at 6 1/2 months!

You sit up so well!

You love to be held, but are very content to play on your own.

You love to jump and stand!

You love your swing (and it makes me sad that you are starting to outgrow it.

You love to go outside!

You still love your thumb, but now you also love a little security blanket too!

You love to laugh!

You love to be sung to!

You put everything in your mouth and chew on everything. You love our fingers, but you're not a big drooler. 

You can get things faster than anything. You are very interested in everything you see, including food.

I don't give you a lot of solids because you spit them up. You're still a professional spitter upper! ;)

You eat and sleep well! You sleep from about 8-7 or 8-8 right now. 

You're wearing 6 month clothing and some 9 month...although it's a little big. 

You don't take your eyes off your sister!

Oh, you are just a joy and the most precious thing to us! Our hearts just melt when we watch you and MC. You're our Anna Claire Elizabeth, our sister bear, our baby sister. 

Mexico Beach and the Fourth!

We went down to Mexico beach for a few days to celebrate the Fourth of July and our nephews 9th birthday! MOlly Caroline has the best time with her cousins and absolutely loves sand! Anna Claire enjoyed the breeze, and Matt and I loved it but wish we could've stayed longer! Picture overload!
