25 Weeks!

Best moment this week? My appointment yesterday and Dr. McCollum telling me that our baby girl was very active and that she kept kicking her! When she finally found the heart rate it was about 162. I loved my entire appointment yesterday actually. I was measured for the first time and Dr. McCollum said that I was measuring perfectly. We did the antibody screening yesterday to make sure that I'm still Rh Negative...that way I can have my shot in a few weeks. I've been coughing like crazy so I took my huge tervis of water in with me, and they were thrilled that I was drinking because they know me and my veins. Of course I still ended up having blood drawn from the hand. I also got my ORANGE glucose drink. I have that test in 2 weeks. I'm hoping the orange won't be bad to me since I've craved orange flavored things this pregnancy. Actually, getting the drink made me crave an orange Fanta. So I treated myself today and stopped by Sonic after school.

Miss anything? Not right now. I'm feeling great!

Movement? All the time. I've been sick and coughing so much lately that I've been worried about not feeling her very much the past few days. Ever since my appointment I feel like I've felt her nonstop. I'm thankful for that.

Sleep? I've had to basically sleep sitting up the last few nights because of bronchitis...not pregnancy though.

Cravings? Orange juice and key lime pie frozen yogurt. I've just been wanting cold things to soothe my throat.

Sickness? I hadn't been feeling great since Monday but thought it was just allergies. Then I thought maybe a sinus infection. Well, I felt really bad before my appointment yesterday, when Dr. McCollum came in I said, "Diagnose me!" She went and got her stethoscope and felt like whatever I had was turning into Bronchitis. So, last night I took the first medicine (I haven't even had one tylenol) that I've taken this entire pregnancy. I was nervous, but I don't want to get worse, and my Dr. is amazing and obviously knows what she's doing. I feel a lot better today too other than being so sore from coughing my head off!

Other symptoms? I feel like I never have any typical pregnancy symptoms. However, I'm sure they're coming! I guess not liking Mexican food at ALL is a symptom. Yuck. I can hardly type those words!

Gender? GIRL!!

Looking forward to? Working in her nursery a little more this weekend and just lots of exciting things going on in March!!! March and April are the busiest months ever for us!

Seeing Stripes!

We've made some progress on the nursery! We bought our dresser and side table from a little antique store in town on Saturday. I can't wait to give the dresser a make-over. We first spotted it almost 2 months ago. We loved it and the price...but I sort of thought I wanted a new dresser for the nursery. I searched every place imaginable. We also made stops in numerous little shops and looked on Craigslist. I was so excited that our initial favorite was still at Toscoga this weekend. I almost didn't buy a side table because I have one at home that I could've painted, I just hated to move it from where we have it now because it is perfect there. Well, Matt fell in love with the side table and thought that his daughter had to have it to put her books underneath. I love it too! Blakely makes me laugh. Her new thing is moving into the front seat when we run inside somewhere really quick. I guess she didn't like having to ride in the back with the furniture. OH, she is one spoiled pup.:)

Matt worked so hard this weekend and finished the striped wall! The stipe colors are natural linen and blush white. They look beautiful. I'm planning on adding a wooden monogram to the wall and painting it either pearl pink to match the ceiling or a bright white color. If I think it is too much, I have a back-up plan for the monogram! :) We love the way it turned out! Way to go Matty for working on such a tedious project!

Blakley and I hung out and watched Matt measure and tape. Country music and rain were the perfect things to listen to as we watched/worked. :)

Our favorite room in the house is coming along!

Thursday Treats!

We've gotten some fun treats lately from family and friends! Some were for me, but most were for our little girl! And no I'm not going to post pictures of everything...I promise!

My brother and sis in law got baby girl Whelan a beautiful sign for her nursery. It looks so good in there already! I'm waiting to put up a few little shelves so I can properly display it! They also got me a charm for my Pandora bracelet. Sweet pearls!! I love it!

One of my mama's co-workers who is expecting her first baby in April gave me this. :)

Our neighbors, Katie and Kyle, gave us the cutest ruffle butt bloomers!

And Mama picked out these adorable outfits! Seersucker and corduroy...I'm in love!

Oh and my Mom and Dad brought me this little sweater that my Nanny bought me to wear home from the hospital. It is precious!!

Matt, Blakely, and I hang out in the nursery every single night! I had been rained on and it was a long day...so excuse my tiredness! :)

Getting ready for our baby girl is super fun!

23 and 24 Weeks!!!

I'll just combine these weeks since I'll be 24 weeks tomorrow.

Best moment this week? Our ultrasound that we had today! Everything looked great, and we are so thankful. Since we couldn't get the textbook pictures of her spine at the last ultrasound that we had at 19 weeks, we got to have another one. Man what a difference 4ish weeks makes! We had Christy check and she said that our baby is still a girl. :) She has long legs and is measuring in the 50th percentile so far. My due date is still the same! Also, this weekend my mom and I got her some really precious outfits downtown on the clearance rack of Mary Madison!!!

Miss anything? Not really.

Movement? I feel her a lot now. I swear that I felt her flip today. She wasn't breech during the ultrasound today (I know that they turn and move all the time at this point in pregnancy...but I'm convinced I felt her flip that way today)! She kicked all throughout Bible Study last night. Matt says that she likes being in the Word like her Mama! I sure hope so!!!

Sleep? I've been having a hard time falling asleep this week. I also have been having some crazy dreams. I dreamed that my friend Jennifer had her baby Karlynn...any day now Jenn!! :) But I feel rested.

Cravings? Canteloupe, strawberries, asparagus, pancakes, soup (I think just because it has been rainy and cool).

Sickness? Feeling great!!!

Other symptoms? No symptoms. But I love that people at school are saying that I just popped overnight and am looking pregnant! :)

Gender? GIRL!!

Looking forward to? My appointment next week!! Finalizing her middle initial (come on Matty)!!!:)

Painting Party and Our Valentine's Day

We've been spending a lot of time in our nursery lately. We've had some setbacks. But we are loving the outcome!

The ceiling is Key Pearl Pink.

We got our chandelier installed too!

The walls are White Blush. We love how the white trim stands out, but the cream is not yellow at all.

The stripes....oh the stripes. The stripes will be natural linen.

The walls are blush white. They are finished. :) Blakely likes to hang out in the nursery. That warms my heart!

We bought the crown molding and are hoping to get it up soon.

Our crib bedding also arrived! It is beautiful and matches the ceiling perfectly!

Now onto our Valentine's Night. We kept it real low key and it was perfect. We had dinner by candlelight and then watched a movie in bed. It was bliss!

When we got married we didn't have a tv in our bedroom for the first year of marriage. Our pre-marital counselor challenged us to do that and we did. Then when we moved into this house 3 years ago, we put a small, old tv in our bedroom but never watched it...so we took it out. The one real pregnancy "symptom" that I've experienced is fatigue. I get up super early and go strong all day...but when 6:00 rolls around. I am exhausted!!! And if I have a meeting or Bible Study...then I'm too tired to even watch tv in the living room when I get home...haha! We're really tv show series people..not movie people, but we both thought that that getting a tv for our bedroom sounded like a great solution for the time being. We can snuggle up and watch our shows together and when I can't fight sleep any longer...I'm alreay in bed! Perfect! :) So that was our Valentine's gift to each other. A tv. Real romantic huh? :) I also got Matty a watering can that he wanted and he got me some hair ties and some beautiful freshwater pearls (I was surprised!). I can honestly say that most days are like Valentine's Day with Matty. I'm so blessed and our little girl will be too!

22 Weeks (Practically 23)

Best moment this week? Working on the nursery!

Miss anything? Not really.

Movement? I have been feeling flutters a lot more often...even at work. Then at work today I felt a real kick...right on my bladder. It was amazing! :)

Sleep? Just wish I could sleep on my stomach sometimes.

Cravings? Canteloupe, Crystal Light Tea, Orange Juice, and Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream.

Sickness? Feeling good!

Other symptoms? Not this week.

Gender? GIRL!!

Looking forward to? Our Ultrasound next Tuesday. My next regular appointment. My parents coming and helping put up crown molding in the nursery!

My Sunday Song

I've been in need of some new music lately. Songs that uplift my soul and refresh my spirit. You know Worship music is my favorite and I'm so excited to get my hands on the new Passion cd in March. Until then, I've been listening to Hillsong Chapel (a lot of songs are old favorites sung in a new way or by a different leader). Refreshing! I have even been listening to the old Hillsong Chapel cd in my car again. I forgot how much I love it!

It is Well-My favorite hymn (or one of them)

Saviour King-One of my favorites for years!

Rhythms of Grace-A new fave!

We've been listening to All Sons and Daughters a lot too. I heard them live and really liked them!

The best date night!

Matty and I have lots of date nights planned for our near future. Last night was wonderful! We left for Tallahassee right after he got off of work and went straight to Our New Baby. We went in to buy a crib mattress and came out with a glider/ottoman!!! I had been researching them online and it turned out that they happened to have the exact one I thought I wanted. I think Matt fell in love and we were both happy with the price and the amazing customer service. So...I'll gladly check that off my list! I'm strange and love that the fabric is a linen/cotton blend just like the bedding we picked. :) The color is burlap (I forced myself to be practical so we can use it again if we change the room or have a boy. All things don't have to be white or patterned, even though I want them to be.) Also, I got to sit in comfort while we shopped. Perfect for a Friday afternoon!

We ate dinner at a little Italian restaurant that we've been wanting to try since we got married almost 7 years ago. We've passed it a million times, but finally decided to eat at Bella Bella. Y'all I think it is our new favorite place! The atmosphere was great the food was sooo good!

We stopped in Target on our way home and checked out baby gear. Then were still home at a decent hour! Not super exciting, but we had the best time together. Even though we were close to home it felt like we were out of town. We both needed it!

Bargain Bazaar Treasures and a 4 Seasons Babymoon!

Y'all I'm so glad to be home at a decent hour! This is the first day in over two weeks that I've been able to come home right after work. Of course I stood in the school parking lot for an hour and chatted with a co-worker...haha! Oh well I'm home now and blogging again which makes me happy!

I am soooo thankful Bargain Bazaar is over. I had fun with my league girls but it was just very tiring and long. However, we made a lot of money for the children in our county and I found some cute little treasures for nothing. We got three things for our little girl. :) The sweater still had tags on it. A little desk that we're going to paint red and stick in the bonus room, and some frames to do something with eventually.

We had short little 4 seasons babymoon over in Valdosta on Saturday night. It is the last time we we all be together with out a baby/babies! Pretty fun to think about how much our lives have changed since grad school. There have been moves, engagements, weddings, and now babies. We are all still teaching though. :) We ate dinner at Olive Garden, and then hung out at Jenn's brand new house that her and J built! We pretty much stayed in Karlynn's nursery all night!

I don't have pictures but our busy weekend ended nicely. We attended a new worship service at our church Sunday night, then watched the Superbowl with Matt's Dad and Ellen.

We have a few projects we are going to be working on this weekend! I'm excited!

Gender Reveal Party...Part 1!

I used to think I was going to throw a huge gender reveal party, then when we found out we were pregnant this time, I thought that I wouldn't find out..so we obviously wouldn't have one. But in the end we talked about it and we are so excited and our families are so excited about this that we felt like we just had to do a little something fun and special. Plus, it brought both of our families together. I love that!

We kept it very simple! We planned the party for 1:00 and decided to provide a light lunch and cupcakes. I wanted the reveal to be early because I knew without a doubt that the girls would go shopping...and I still wanted everyone to get home at a reasonable hour (my family drove 3 hours). We wanted to have some of our good friends and neighbors over too but decided to wait and have them come over later because of work schedules, etc. I purposefully didn't invite anybody from school tht I teach with because I felt like then then number of people coming would be insane! Everything went just like we hoped!

The rest of my pictures will not upload! So, I'm having to break this post up into two parts. More pictures coming soon!
