Happy Fall....pumpkins and picnics!

We are loving this weather! I have a few more decorations to add, and real pumpkins and mums to buy, but our house is definitely filled with pumpkins!

I put my soft pumpkins in Molly Caroline's reach and she loves picking them up and carrying them around.

We have been having lots of after school snack picnics outside. We also just love hanging out on both of our porches. Tonight we ate dinner outside at our farmhouse table. It was perfection!!

Our windows will be open and a pumpkin candle will be burning tonight for sure!! I'll end this post with a picture of Molly Caroline being silly with her pumpkin headband. She's a mess!

Stuff, Work, and Athens!

Christy Nockels has my dream house and you can see pics of her pretty kitchen in the October issue of Better Homes and Gardens.

Matt and I had movie night last Monday after Molly Caroline went to sleep. It felt like the weekend and not a Monday! So fun, but simple! We plan on making week night dates more of a priority!

I've been picking up some Halloween goodies for Molly Caroline. I love seasonal treats!

I'm in love with this pattern that I got a few hand towels in. LOVE!

The theme song to The Fosters makes me want to cry every time I hear it. Especially when it shows the growth chart with all the marks. Do y'all know it?

My kids this year love experiments and cooking. Everyone thought our apple pie was delicious! :) two of my girls even ate the crust (their favorite part) straight out of the pan. They are precious.

We've been reading Frog and Toad stories for extended text and researching frogs and toads. The frog craft we made was a huge hit!

We visited some friends near Athens this weekend. The Radfords were awesome hosts. We took Molly Caroline to her first Georgia game! Shopped all around Athens, and just enjoyed it so much! We felt so refreshed being there! We can't wait to go back!

Fall TV is back!

We are TV show junkies I think. We are not big on movies but absolutely love tv! And we don't even have cable!

Last fall most of our shows came on too late or right when we were getting MC ready for bed. So we got into a habit of watching them the next night on Hulu. Then in the spring we never even turned on the tv so Matt canceled our cable. Made sense although I would have loved to watch HGTV and Bravo this summer. We also love having marathons of shows that we love via Netflix. Remember Friday Night Lights?!? I also LOVE morning talk shows...but only get to watch in the summer.

These are our favorites right now...

Nashville.

Grey's Anatomy.

Parenthood.

The Good Wife.

Pretty Little Liars.

We also used to watch Revenge and Scandal. Maybe we will get back into them this season.

Craft night and a few projects!

One of my neighbors mentioned wanting to make a football door hanger for her front door, so we decided to have a craft night! The craft night ended up consisting of two parts. The first night we painted. The next night we stuffed them! I love how they turned out!

I made also made a V State hanger for our back porch. I may eventually do a burlap one.

I think I need to change my outdoor chalkboard!

I love having the Georgia football schedule right in my entryway. I just quickly wrote it up there and that is what I like about it. How it's messy and informal on a fancy chalkboard near my dining room.

Catching up!

Two weekends ago we had a cookout with our Life Group. It was a lot of fun! I love how the guys and girls always split up! The kids had fun eating dinner and watching movies in their pjs up at the church. Molly Caroline was the youngest, but seemed like such a big girl sitting at the table waiting to eat!

Molly Caroline loves playing in the big kid "room" at church. She loves the kitchen, the mats, and the little table.

The first half of the month is always busy with JSL meetings and stuff. We are off to a great start and I'm leading/working with a great provisional class. The color of this board room that we meet in makes me want to paint in our house!

Football season has started! We wear blue and gold on Friday and red and black on Saturday. This is our third year getting season tickets and I adore our seats on the 50 yard line!

My parents came this weekend. They kept MC on a Friday and kept me company at night since Matt was at his annual sales meeting. I was so grateful!!! We had a lot of fun!!

And all this has been happening at school. We performed nursery rhymes, sorted pictures and drew pictures on sticky notes for Living/Nonliving, we've started apples, Shapes, lots of shape snacks, letter and sight word eating crocodiles....you name it. :)
