Why I love where we live...

I love our town so much. It's beautiful, has so much charm, great public and private schools, the best shopping and restaurants, and is close to the beach! The absolute only downfall is that our families don't live here too. Our closest family is 3 hours away and that can be hard, especially with two little ones. But lately certain instances have hit me hard, and made me so appreciate this plantation town that we have called home for about 10 years now.

Our pediatricians. Are hands down amazing. They know my girls and me by name, even out and about in town. They like every single picture I post of the girls on Instagram (and that's a lot) and every time I go for a weight check for Anna Claire, they go out of their way to make Molly Caroline feel special. Just yesterday, MC also got "checked" just because, got a bandaid put on a "boo boo", our pediatrician carried her out to find a sticker and also carried her around on her hip to check on a few babies while  I got AC dressed.

Our life group at church. Somehow it's ended up that many of our friends from our life group don't have family here either. So they know what we're going through. The meals that we received after Anna Claire were such a blessing! I know they would help with our kids if we needed it.

My nurses and Drs. Have become my friends. It about brings me to tears when I get birthday texts and texts that they are praying for me or checking on me...like during my blood patch procedure and on my first week back to school.

Shopping local. I love that I know or are friends with so many shop keepers in my town. If I can't find a parking space or am in a rush I just walk in through the back door and room of my favorite boutique.   When I shop Molly Caroline watches tv in he back room or plays with the toys in the fitting room.

My job. I love that my administrators know me, have held my kids, have been in my house, have gone to dinner and the movies with me. Of course my school family too. I also love seeing my former students. I was at CFA this week and saw a student that I taught in Kindergarten 9 years ago. She had on a sports uniform and was praying before her meal with two other friends. She got so excited when she saw me and ran and gave me a hug. I used to go to her sports functions when she was in my class. After all these years. It happens often, and blesses my soul every time. Especially when in this season of my life, I  doubt my choice of my job and working daily.

Our sweet neighborhood. And neighbors.  We have what have become friends that are like family on both sides of us. We automatically go out for every celebration, help each other if in need, or just borrow an egg or a ladder. We don't even clean our houses for one another anymore. Haha!

I don't know. Lately I've just been very aware of all of these special blessings and am so thankful the Lord brought us here to this town that we had only heard of.

34!

The best hubby/daddy ever turned 34 on Monday! We celebrated him all weekend long!

Friday night we had Osaka with our neighbors! MC was all about the "fire" and catching shrimp "chicken"!

Saturday was the best morning at home. We went to Walmart, breakfast, the park, and sidewalk sale and still got home before 11am!

Saturday night Matt requested Coyoacan with his dad!

And a cookie cake. We did cake Saturday night.

Monday morning his girls took him to breakfast at his favorite place, Cfa!

Monday evening we let him play some golf! And tagged along!
Happy Birthday Matty! We are so thankful for you!

Easter Eggs, Bailey Boys, and My Girls!

Molly Caroline picked out Easter eggs this week for her school hunt! She picked the exact ones I would have. :)

It was just a great week full of fun family time. We played in the playroom, outside, and just snuggled!
Trying on her new clothes!

The girls rocking horse finally came! Thankfully it was completely free, just a few months after Christmas. Molly Caroline loves it!

She pushed baby sister in the stroller for the first time!

This was an early morning pumping session. With Molly Caroline on my lap. She woke up and walked into our room.

One of my best friends sent Anna Claire some precious goodies! Most are bailey boys....a favorite of both of us.

I just love my girls so much!

Anna Claire is 2 months old

Well she was on January 23rd...I'm way behind!

Smiling. Huge open mouth smiles!

Cooing. With almost a chuckle at the end.

She loves baths, riding in the car, strolling, being outside, eating, swinging, being held, and sleeping.

She is still sleeping through the night.

She weighed 9. 6 at her 2 month checkup.

Still spitting up a good bit, but started Zantac for reflux and that has started helping.

We have multiple outfit changes daily (never ever had to do that with MC) because of spit up and poop! Lol

She still wears newborn clothes. Some 0-3 month too.

Anna Claire had her first trip to Dublin. She slept the entire trip there and back!

Anna Claire stayed in the church nursery for the first time! She slept the whole time and did great!

She kicks her little legs all the time! And looks like a ballerina! She kicks and raises her arms above her head!

Anna Claire started daycare. She loves it thankfully and seems really happy! I mean, Mimi and sissy basically love on her all day!

Anna Claire, you are just happy, content, and as sweet as can be. Big sister, mommy, and daddy adore you. You are a mama's girl! You love for me to hold you. You are our baby pea, our baby sister, our pumpkin pie, our hungry hippo, and our loud lion! We are so thankful you're ours and can't believe it sometimes. Our family of four is the best. It's perfect! We are happiest when we are all together.  Blakely loves you too! You are so special to us! We love you much! :)

Valentine Prep and a fun weekend of Love!

Something about seeing their precious matching outfits laid out makes me me super happy! I love my girls! And right now they love to match!

We made heart shaped crayons again this year. She loves it and was so excited when she hears the oven beep. She came running to find me and tell me that they were ready!

Sister snuggles happen often!

I saved the Valentine prep for after bedtime.

She was very excited to give her teachers "flowers from her garden". She picked them out.

She gave her friends at school crayons and both girls have circus cookies to their  friends at Mimi's.

Aren't these the cutest? One of my students have these out!

We had a righ Friday morning, but Matt managed to surprise me with breakfast and bring MC a rose to her school party! He said he wished he would've filmed giving it to her. She was sitting at her table and he handed it to her and she said "thank you daddy, I love it much!" She has started stuttering and of course stuttered while she said it oh so sweetly.

We wanted to eat outside somewhere Friday night because it was so pretty out. We settled on Jonahs and it basically ended up being a valentines family date! The girls did great!!

I loved spending a lazy weekend with my babies. Poor Anna Claire had her first ear infection! You cou don't tell though.

We enjoyed some birthday party fun! There's nothing as sweet as a first birthday!

Valentine's Day with my Valentines was perfection. Anna Claire got a froggie pack and Molly Caroline got her birthday shoes!

Matt made a festive breakfast before church!

We got lots of great snuggles in.

Watered the "garden."

And just soaked up family time.
