I feel like this has been one of the most laid back summers we have ever had. And maybe the messiest (think toys everywhere and lots of spilled drinks). It rained all the time. We didn't really have any plans ahead of time. We just kind of went on several trips here and there.
Anna Claire started saying "love you" to me pretty often and wanted to "read" book after book after book and Molly Caroline loved the pool and water more than ever before...she is a little fish with her swimmies on and starting to have the confidence to put her head under.
I would lay Anna Claire down for her nap right after lunch and then lay down with Molly Caroline almost every day while she napped. I will cherish that time with MC forever because this might be the last summer that she naps.
June started out fast and fun! We had Molly Caroline's ballet recital and her birthday party in the same weekend.
We went to Jacksonville to see Bridgett and her babies.
We went to Dublin to take care of Foxy after her foot surgery.
We went to a Braves Game and celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary!
July was slower. We spent the 4th in Merritt Island, getting Poppy Bills house ready to be sold.
MC loved loved loved soccer camp.
And in between all that we squeezed in appointments. Lots and lots of them. Continued early morning workouts a few times a week. Attended some fun events at the library, visited with Mimi and Mema, had lunch dates, play dates, and movie dates, lots of birthday parties, afternoon popsicles, lots of dress up, trips to the peach shed, played in the rain, got haircuts, did some shopping, worked on some organizing, and swam as much as we could. It was a summer well spent for sure, and I am so sad to see it end. I'm going to miss my being with my babies all day more than anything.
