My "new" favorite time of the week!

Well, I still love Friday's the best...but Tuesday's are coming in at a close second. I like them because I've completed a feat....a day with no break, and class the night before. I have one more day to rest until class again, then it's Friday.

It is freezing in South Ga tonight...again. That could be why I am still a bit under the weather and why I sent two children home with 103 degree fevers and why 3 of my kids were out sick. I had a wonderful day at school though (teaching only 14 6 year olds...life is good), had a parent conference, then went to Wal-Mart to get some fun Valentine stuff for my class. I also got some cute stationary because my kids are going to write and address a Valentine letter to their parents. Note to self...do not ever go to Walmart in the 5:00 hour again. I saw everyone and I mean everyone that I know. I love seeing people...but enough is enough. I wanted to get home to my warm house at some point :)

I've had a great night so far because I've got to experience a few of my favorite things:

1. Poppy seed chicken for supper. Matt is such a good cooking hubby.
2. Bubble Bath...my favorite stress releiver! I love to read in the bath tub, listen to casting crowns or hillsong and light a wood wick candle!
3. Wearing my "elf" pj's as Matt calls them. They are just green striped.
4. The new Fray CD!!! I love them and listened to their old one over and over the summer I got married and during student teaching in 06. Brings back memories!
5. Hitting golf balls in the yard with Matt and Blakely!
6. Reflecting on teaching and all of God's faithfulness in my career. I have my yearly meeting with my P and AP tomorrow, so I have to be ready :)
7. My diet root beer in a bottle.
8. Watching Biggest Loser and Idol in bed with Matty!

Oh, and we decided not to make another offer on the house because the people didn't really want to budge on their selling price...even though I think it was way too high. So back to building it is I guess ;) God's timing is perfect.

My theme verse lately: He is your constant source of stability; He abundantly provides safety and great wisdom; He gives all this to those who fear Him. Isaiah 33:6

Superbowl Weekend

We are watching the big game as I type! We aren't really cheering for either team...we don't care who wins this year. We've had a relaxing weekend, and I don't want to see it come to an end (Matt has tomorrow off and I'm so jealous)! We stayed in and watched Fireproof on Friday (Matt surprised me by buying it since it is one of our favorites)....I fell asleep near the end but I loved it just the same. I did schoolwork and housework all day on Saturday. We had taco night at our house last night and I started and finished Karen Kingsbury's newest book, This Side of Heaven (good as always)! Today we went to church and then did something a little bit exciting! We made an offer on a great first home! We were going to build and we still might...it is actually more afforadable to build here...but we couldn't really pass up the price of this one because of the neighborhood that it's in. We are praying that they will accept our offer..and that if the Lord doens't want us to own that home, that we'll know. We should know something by 6pm. I'll be in class so being the anxious person that I am anyway..Matt is going to have to text me as soon as he finds out! Our realtor is hilarious and I love her. She has actually been working with us for 3 years!

Ok, I have a new favorite addiction. Sonic vanilla diet coke...so good! I had to swing by Sonic this afternoon as we drove around a few subdivisions. This is going to be a busy week and I'm so nervous about it. Why am I the only crazy person who gets nervous about hectic weeks?? :)

Becoming

We had an amazing Disciple Now weekend. This years theme was called Becoming: Finding my identity in Christ. All of our church's get together for this huge event. We start off with a kick off dinner on Thursday night, and end with a big breakfast at our church! We had an amazing speaker and band...and of course I think that all of the "adults" got more out of the tiring crazy weekend than anyone!! I feel blessed!

And the children say he can laugh and play...

Do you know all the words to Frosty the Snowman?? Well, my 20 children do. It was probably the most requested song we sang during Christmas. We are almost at the end of January and my kids are still obsessed with Frosty. We have a big snowman up on our writing board and we labeled the parts of the cute guy. Then as they were writing about it in their writing folders...they decided to name him..what else but Frosty (real original, I know)! Well today their "word of the day" was snowman. They had to spell it, and you would be amazed at how many of them got it right. I was! Last week was Snow Day and my room mother wanted to know if she could help me with anything. Since she is the maker of all sorts of yummy cupcake creations (and we trust her enough to actually eat the goodies) my support teacher and I requested snowman cupcakes! Look at how cute! She outdid herself again!! I am really lucky to have such supportive parents in my classroom!

Aren't the earmuffs cute??

The Sweetest Sin

Let me paint the picture for you: About 20 degrees outside..wind blowing and dark. It is 6:30am and I am already rushing out the door to work. It is a Tuesday morning (so there's still a long week ahead) and I'm exhausted. My hubby and puppy are bundled up in the bed, warm and toasty. The sweetest sin would be to ditch my responsibilities and snuggle up beside them until about noon...or at least 8:00!

This picture was so sweet to me, I had to snap a quick picture on my way out the door. I will admit...that I was slightly jealous and just wanted to join them!!!!

Do I live in South GA?? I literally had to wrap a childs nap blanket around myself at recess at 1:15pm and had to take my kids inside early because we were all miserable. I am thankful to be home now with my pj's on and heater cranked up!!! Brrrr!!!

Who will get a rose?

I love watching The Bachelor! I haven't watched it since Sarah from Tennessee (the Kindergarten teacher) was on it. But before then, my sophomore Bible Study, used to watch it every Wed. after we did the study Lady in Waiting. I loved that group of girls and my leader. Elizabeth Moody was my leader, and Amy Franklin, Wendy Carney, and Jessica Gillis were in it. I still have scripture memorized from my time spent with that group. Anyway, I am slightly addicted to this season already...it's so good. I wonder who will get a rose tonight? And who would've thought that The Bachelor would bring up such good memories of Bible Study?? :)
