It's just another Manic Monday!

Surprise! Look what I got! Matty surprised me with them last night! He said he loved the bright colors and how they match our kitchen...awww! I am especially fond of the palm frond looking things! :)

There is nothing that I love more than a $5 bouquet of flowers from Wal-Mart or Publix to brighten up our home. I've probably only got them 3 times in the past year, but they just make me so darn happy!

Remember those chrysanthemums I got for Grandparent's day almost a week and a half ago? They are still looking as fresh as ever. Turns out they are the longest lasting cut flowers or something. I googled it b/c I was so impressed that they weren't wilted at all after 7 days.

Now, about Manic Monday...I had a great day at school, got tons of accomplished today...and am already settled in bed for the night at 8:00pm. We ate supper at 5:30, so I still had time to take a bubble bath and read...I really like when my nights feel long. Did I mention it is raining again? I love the soothing sound of it hitting the air conditioner outside of our bedroom...lol :) I really do, maybe I would like to have a tin roof one day. As always, I'm workin' for the weekend!

Strength

Words can not express how sweet I think this picture is! It is of my good friend, LeAnn, opening her gifts at her baby shower. My other two good friends, Becky and Lynn, are in the picture (to the left of her) watching and supporting her. I am so thankful for my friends!

After the shower, we hit the Sidewalk Sale downtown for a few hours, then picked up some yummy chicken salad from The Scoop for lunch! It started raining as I was driving home from Becky's and poured the rest of the night. Matt's Dad and Ellen came into town and we went to the house and then ate dinner at Beef O'Brady's. I spent the rest of the evening watching football with Matty. We opted out of the VSU game (SAD) since the weather was yucky.

Tony Nolan spoke at our church this morning and it was awesome!! After a fun-filled weekend though, I'm struggling. I don't want to prepare for another work week already!

Isaiah40:29
29 He gives power to those who are tired and worn out; he offers strength to the weak.

Sometimes the upcoming week overwhelms me so that I just have to get down on my knees and beg for strenth. I haven't been let down yet :)

I am a pandora addict at school. I listen to Kari Jobe radio every break I have and sometimes really lightly at naptime. They play a lot of Hillsong (which I love) and I never fail to hear this song at least 3 times a day. The opening lyric strikes a chord with me each time...it sort of knocks the breath right out of me.

"And now the weak, say I have strenth." There's just something about those simple words.

Since I've been trying to muster up some stength today...this song goes right along with powerful (another of my faves)! I can't stand when I can't find them singing it live! :)

Psalm27:1
1 The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?

Psalm119:28
28 My soul is weary with sorrow: strengthen me according to your word.

Isaiah40:31
31 But those who wait on the Lord will find new strength. They will fly on wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.

Isaiah41:10
10 Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

Ephesians6:10
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might.

Philippians4:13
13 I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.

I HEART SHOPPING!

One of my favorite quotes is from my favorite lady, Rachel Zoe. I think that it desribes me and my feelings about the store below perfectly.

"I don't know why I have the sudden urge to shop like a lunatic!"

I picked my friend, Becky, up from her house and we went to a cute store in town, then hit downtown to look for a few shower gifts for our friend, LeAnn. My friends, LeAnn and Stewart just adopted a precious baby girl, named Georgia. Becky and I got some really cute gifts for them! And I just loved looking at all the cute baby stuff. I feel that shopping for baby things will be a big problem for me when I am pregnant one day! Ha!

Anyway, I basically know exactly what to get Becky for birthday's and Christmas's for years to come now. She liked everything. I figured out that she just never buys cute stuff for herself...however, she is one amazing gift giver and spoils her girls rotten.

I found some cute stuff that I wanted to buy my support teacher too. I thought of just making her a little basket of goodies just because...but who I am to even think about that....I'm broke. Matt takes every cent that I make and saves it...which is a good thing!
But there is a LOT of super cute finds in our downtown and lots of FALL things which I'm always a sucker for!

We have a lot planned for this weekend. However, tonight I'm resting...5 birhtday's in one week is a lot (5 of my babies turned 6 this week...and we had cupcakes for each one) is enough to wear anyone out!

Wordless Wednesday...almost :)

After working nonstop...getting ahead in lesson plans, assessments, newsletters, etc....I guess I got in the mood for some Fall like things (as I'm beginning to see signs of apples, pumpkins, and holiday's in my lesson plans)...windows open, hot apple cider, burning my Yankee Caramel Apple candle, and watching fall tv....So You Think You Can Dance and GLEE!!!

On top of all of this hapiness....Wed. night church activities started back tonight! I got to see great friends last night at league and then again tonight! I am thankful!

Baby Fever

Everyone I know is pregnant, or just had a baby....did you know that? :) Since Emily has been home with baby Bryson, the flu has been going around, so nobody could go visit her. Well, my old community H (the girls I taught with at Garrison in 07-08) decided to bring Emily and Brian dinner, since she was a member of our great community. So Thursday, we stopped by the Ross household for a good time.

A picture of my salad all packed up and ready to go!

Ann and Dara picked up Sonny's and I made a HUGE salad and got dinner rolls from The Bread Wagon here in town. Donna dropped by later on and brought them her famous, yummy, banana pudding for dessert.

Ann was so in love with Bryson :)

New mama, Emily, with her baby boy.

One Proud Daddy.

I didn't get any pictures of Dara or I.

We stayed over at the Ross' for about 2 hours and held baby Bryson, and let Emily and Brian have a "romantic" dinner in the kitchen by themselves. They were very grateful and worn out. And we LOVED every second.

After we left their house, Dara, Ann, and I went to Old Mexico and caught up on life for another 2 hours! It was great. Sweet Dunny treated us to supper...which was so nice! What a great ending to a long week.
