These days...

Friday was Grandparents Day. And Mother Goose Day. Mrs. Sharon and I were...It's Raining, It's Pouring. And you can see the cute spider snack that I made my kids...they went with Little Miss Muffet....their favorite Nursery Rhyme. :)

My brother came to our house on Friday night and brought me the new Hank Murphy Band cd and Crosspointe worship cd. I was thrilled! I cannot stop listening to either one!

Saturday was Gameday! Go DAWGS and BLAZERS!!! Both won! It was Parents Weekend at VSU. I also realized that I have way too much red and black jewelry...ha ha ha! The game was SO FUN and a little hot! :)

Sunday was rearrange and hang things in my house day! I finally got the urge after living here for almost a year. I pulled out every picture that we've been storing in our spare closet. Two words. Collage Crazy! ha ha ha! I did find this arrangement in Tally with my mama...so I set it out! Love it! I might decorate for fall this weekend. We'll see.

And today is Labor Day. I cannot even describe to you how much I'm enjoying having a day off. A weekday off. It has been 6 weeks since I've had one. Even better...Matt has it off too! I am rejoicing in the day that the Lord gave me to catch up on things and rest my sore throat and soul. :) We ate breakfast on the porch, relaxed and caught up on dishes and laundry, and we are going to watch a movie and grill out too. What a wonderful day!

B-U-S-Y

That's what we've been up to as we begin a new month. Non-stop, pure craziness. I just have time to stop for a second and post a few pics from the last few days.

I got a new robe at Target the other day and I am obsessed with it. I want to wear it all the time. I will probably get a dark gray one before too long. I know I look crazy, this was after a long day and I was getting ready for bed. But I like the picture..haha! We were making our lunches in the kitchen for the next day.

Matt has been working up a sweat lately. Even though the breeze has felt Fallish and delightful here in SGA, it is still HOT. Matt has been laying pine straw around some of our baby trees. We plan to finish the rest of the yard on Labor Day.

I will be locked in a little room at school tomorrow writing units for Science/SS. I do get an hour off campus for lunch though...woo hoo! Friday is Grandparents Day and we are putting on quite a little production. It makes me think about my own grandparents and how lucky I was/am to be so close to them. I feel very blessed for that! And I can't wait for my parents to become grandparents one day....they will be the best. REALLY. Every day at school I tear up when I see a grandparent eating with their grandchildren. I long for my parents to experience that and pray that the Lord will answer our prayers for that to happen someday! :)

I am so glad that September is finally here! I hope that everyone has had a great week so far!

May he grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed. May we shout for joy when we hear of your victory and raise a victory banner in the name of our God.
May the Lord answer all your prayers.

Awesome August Nights...

came to a close at our church tonight. SO AMAZING and AWESOME! I say it over and over, but I love our church family. The Lord is doing some great things through FBC. Here is a picture of some great worship leaders.

Last night, we ran to Tally to run a few errands. I wore my new headband that my friend CBD got me this summer at the mart. I LOVED it and just had to post a picture.

We had a pretty lazy Sunday. Here I am watching tv with a big baby....I love that she'll lay with me and be so sweet.

Tonight after church we had to go to Publix, so we just fixed a quick salad for supper.

Then grilled peaches and ate them in our rocking chairs on the front porch. The breeze felt wonderful! We love juicy GA peaches...especially as summer comes to end.

I could feel Fall in the breeze tonight. So much so, that I just had to go ahead and pull out one fall candle. I picked out caramel apple. Since apples technically go with the month of September..Johnny Appleseed and all. :) It smells SO GOOD!!

And now, children, stay with Christ. Live deeply in Christ. Then we'll be ready for him when he appears, ready to receive him with open arms, with no cause for red-faced guilt or lame excuses when he arrives.

Typical Friday Night in August

First let me post this. We made up a cute little basket for one of the cleaning ladies on our hall at school today. She was very surprised! Everyone thought that I found that cute little black onesie. Haha! It was actually my support, but everyone came down to my room and asked where I got it at. I think the people who work with me know me. :)

Here's a typical Friday night at the end of August.

Jacket Football!

Movies in the Pickin' Shed (Bad quality pics b/c I used my phone)

We hardly go up to our bonus room. So I miss that comfy furniture!

We always look forward to Friday night in SGA...especially rainy ones!!
