My heart

is just screaming for some praise and worship time. Y'all know I LOVE me some Desert Song....prob. my favorite song ever. My life song if you will. :) Anyway, I never knew that Natalie Grant sings it. I've only heard Hillsong. I just love the lyrics so much.

Another favorite is Mighty to Save. LOVE LOVE LOVE this version.

I have a lot of pictures left to post from Atlanta and I will do that soon. Here we are getting ready to drive back down to South GA on Sunday. I was well equipped for the drive home with these goodies.

Thankfully I'm feeling a lot better. We have been busy getting back into the swing of things. We've also been decorating like crazy. Here is what I'm looking at right now. SO PRETTY! Christmas lights just make my heart skip a beat.

I am also excited to announce that my sweet daddy got a brand new truck. He is the proud owner of a Ford Truck...hard to believe. He deserved it and waited so long for it! He looks too cute standing in front of the truck (I don't know why the pic is messed up). Mama sent it to via text.

I have been busy testing my kids for gifted this week and tomorrow we will head downtown for a field trip. I think it will be super cold...but that will be way better than the humid, dreary, windy day that we had today. I hope everyone is having a terrific Tuesday!

Psalm 18:16-24
But me he caught—reached all the way from sky to sea; he pulled me out of that ocean of hate, that enemy chaos, the void in which I was drowning. They hit me when I was down, but God stuck by me. He stood me up on a wide-open field; I stood there saved—surprised to be loved! God made my life complete when I placed all the pieces before him. When I got my act together, he gave me a fresh start. Now I'm alert to God's ways; I don't take God for granted. Every day I review the ways he works; I try not to miss a trick. I feel put back together, and I'm watching my step. God rewrote the text of my life when I opened the book of my heart to his eyes.

Thankful

I'm very thankful for many things this year. I am thankful for my sweet husband and loyal pup, both of our families, our dear friends, our church family, my school family, our warm house, that we both have jobs, our community, and that we both love and are completely surrendered to the ONE who saved us.

Happy Thanksgiving 2010 Everyone!!

Backtracking a little bit...I had a feast with my kids at school on Tuesday! It was a lot of fun!

We've gotten some good family time in last night and today. It has been so nice to relax and just visit! I could probably get used to this! Matt and I also attempted to make two of my families favorite recipes. A Daidone favorite (Spinach Pie), and a Palmer favorite (Cranberry Nut Relish). We also brought a caramel cake from a local favorite bakery...Cakes by Jayne. I just love traditions!

Psalm 100:4-5
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

I've been singing this since last Sunday, when we sang it at church. I love it.

Just one of the many reasons...

why I love the Junior Service League.

I worked with these great ladies on Saturday (minus the awesome girl in charge who took the pic).

You have a teacher, a former navy pilot, and a VP of a bank.

I love all of the new friendships that I have made in league. :) I'm so thankful!!

Another thing that I just love. My family down on the island. My Aunt Vicki took this picture of my Nanny Jane, Mama, and Aunt Lynn. Beautiful! I miss them all so much. I'm praying that we get down there after Christmas this year!

Weekend Progress

Saturday afternoon I finally purchased our stockings. Pics coming soon! I cleaned out the store! Haha!

I had a lot of fun helping in the Artist Hospitality room at PWAF. As for all of the Plantation themed art...oh there was so much stuff that I wanted. I snapped a few pics of the decor. I can't wait to see the one that my friend Ali took of us actually working. :) It also made me excited for Christmas at the Center.

Saturday night....Become One was AMAZING! I think it is such a neat thing that our town does.

Church, Sunday School, and Church again tonight were all great! The message tonight especially touched my heart. Brother Dan spoke about Ezekiel and the dry bones. Oh, and the music was wonderful too. We did have something a little crazy happen afterwards though. When we were getting in our car, Matt noticed that the yukon next to us had a busted window. Sure enough there was glass everywhere. Then the truck on the other side of us had marks all over its window (from where it was hit with a rock a bunch of times). SCARY! Somehow my car was spared. I am so thankful. I had a few shopping bags in the car, a pair of sunglasses, and my KEYS. I didn't know that they were in there. Our tahoe has tinted windows, so we think they couldn't see what we had in ours.

Tonight, we started decorating our little kitchen tree!! I'm seeing lots of red and white. :) Can you guess what theme it is?

I am glad it is a short week, but jealous of all of my family and friends that have the entire week off! :) I'm praying for a smooth Monday!! I am thinking about this verse. It is one that we were challenged with tonight.
He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” I said, “Sovereign LORD, you alone know.”
Ezekiel 37:3

Going Away Party

I worked on a few special things Thursday night in preparation for Friday. This was one of them.

On Friday we had a going away party for our sweet student teacher, Ms. Clare. We LOVE Ms. Clare. She will be a GREAT teacher, and it was so nice to have an extra set of hands in our classroom. She surprised us with cookie cakes, chips, juice, and a card. But then we suprised her with some goodies! We did most things in red/black since she is a softball player for Valdosta State University.

She did have time to work on a few thing for us before she left. She made Thanksgiving t-shirts with our students.

Last night Matt and I went on a date to Chili's. I had heard that they changed the menu, but have not been since...well I couldn't find anything to order! It was fun to walk around and look at all the Christmas decor and lights though. We look tired in our picture. We usually like to spend Friday night in, but since we knew we wouldn't have a spare moment to have any time together Saturday, we opted for last night instead.

Matt is at work this morning, and I am trying to get a few things organized at our house, then I'm off to volunteer at the Annual Plantation Wildlife Arts Festival (PWAF) here at our Cultural Center. I am working in the hospitality room with some fun people. I'm sure I'll see tons of cool artwork that I wish I could purchase for Matt's office. Then I'm off to "Become One" a FREE worship service at the auditorium...our FBC choir will be singing, as well as some praise bands.

It should be a busy and great Saturday!
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what GOD's will is--HIS good, pleasing and perfect will.
Romans 12:2
