To sum it up...

Busy day at work.

Completely forgot that I would be getting a prize today. Thank you DDP!

Getting SO excited!! Spring Break/GA Coast!!

Some spying going on with my watch dog. (I instantly thought of Mary Alice Young and her fabulous narrating on Desperate Housewives.) So, I had to search for a quote.
"When the truth is ugly, people try to keep it hidden, because they know if revealed the damage it will do, so they conceal it within sturdy walls, or they place it behind closed doors, or they obscure it with clever disguises, the truth no matter how ugly, always emerges, and someone we care about always ends up getting hurt, and someone else will revel in their pain, and that's the ugliest truth of all."

Our first bloom this Spring!

Hard to tell, but our steps are completely covered in pollen. They are pale yellow. Yuck!

Besides the pollen, I'm loving these longer days and the SPRING season!

I'm praying that the Lord will clear my head so I can focus! :)

Ephesians 6:10-11
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

Atlanta Weekend

We spent our weekend in Atlanta with family for Harper Ann Moody's 1st Birthday party!! The weather was perfect and we had the best time! Isn't the birthday girl precious??

Recap coming soon!

Oh! There was one thing that I never knew I couldn't live without until this weekend. Bobby Pins. I was so thankful to walk into my house, and pin up my bangs. It's the little things! :)

Psalm 32:1-2 (A David Psalm) The Message
Count yourself lucky, how happy you must be— you get a fresh start, your slate's wiped clean. Count yourself lucky—God holds nothing against you and you're holding nothing back from him.

Lucky Days!

I've had a great past few days! We had ART Night at my school. We sold ceiling tiles that our kids painted for Relay for Life. I tried to get a few pictures of some of my kids tiles before they were sold. They turned out AMAZING. These pictures don't even do them justice. It was fun hanging around with all the teachers on my wing and talking to parents. We sold 11 in my class so far! My parents are going to be using them as bulletin boards in playrooms and bedrooms. Some are getting them framed.

Yesterday at school we had a "thank you" party for the man that put up all the ceiling tiles for us. It was HARD work. I made a chocolate chip cheese ball (except that I got home so late on Thursday, I just made it like a dip).

Then, last night I got to meet up with my good friend, Lynn. We met up with her and her soon to be hubby at Barnes and Noble. They are getting married in just under 3 months. I can't wait. The thing I loved most is how quickly the time went by when we were together. I wish we lived closer and could see each other more often.

Thank you, God, for having a plan for my life. I am so thankful that when I didn't know where I was going, He already knew. I am also thankful for the people that he has brought into my life over the years. Each friendship is such a blessing. I cherish every single one.

Happy Saturday! It is a big day in our little town today. There is the Heritage Walk and it is opening day of baseball/softball out at Remington Park. It is also Super Saturday in Dublin, the town I grew up in. Art in the Park, Leprechaun Road Race, tennis tournament, parade, Main Street Munchies, and much, much more!!!

Newer than Old

Last Thursday we were super excited about a good friend of ours that was coming into town for a local event. Amy and I worked together when I first got married and moved to Thomasville. Turns out she was bringing some people from her chuch and FSU with her and they needed a place to stay. So, it was like a college sleepover. We had tons of junk food and everyone just hung out and relaxed. It was really good to see her, and all of her friends were so nice! I stayed up entirely too late to have to get up and go to work the next morning. But it was worth it. Amy worked on her cardboard testimony and we got to spend time catching up.

I ran downtown after school on Friday. And Easter decorations were out and on display. Who doesn't love Easter pastels?

Friday night we went to Tallahassee to celebrate my friend, Brecca's, birthday. We ate at a new mexican restuarant there. I got a great picture of her in her sombrero after they sang to her, but she would be mortified if I put it on here. Matt and I attempted a few pictures on the way home. We were tired if you can't tell. Haha!

Saturday we went grocery shopping, and FINALLY finished laying pinestraw. We went up to the event that our friend Amy was speaking out, Inside Out. It is a huge event in town where they bring in Christian bands and speakers each March. It is completely free. Last year we heard Shane & Shane and Meredith Andrews. This year it was Matthew West and Charlie Hall Band.

Later, Matt's dad and his wife, Ellen came into town. We ate seafood at Richard's and then went back out to the park to hear Matthew West. He was AMAZING. We want his new CD after hearing him live and the stories behind each song.

I had to take this picture of my cute bible study leader, Carla. We are doing a Beth Moore study this semester and I just thought that her outfit was very fitting. She is the Beth Moore of South GA I guess! :)

I am getting some things ready for the Leprechaun to visit my classroom tomorrow. I've worn green all week long. Everyday, somebody tells me that I should've saved that outfit for St. Patrick's Day. Really? Shouldn't they know me by now? I am from Dublin. I grew up in a town where shamrocks were painted in the road. And my alma mater's mascot is Lucky the Leprechaun....DHS home of the Fighting Irish!!! :)

Wear your GREEN tomorrow!!

This verse has been showing up everywhere to me lately. I see it somewhere every day. Last night I was reading Isaiah and there it was again. So I had to post it. It sure is comforting to hear.
But they that WAIT upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. -Isaiah 40:31

A Heart like His

Oh, to have a heart like His...one patterned after my God's heart, like David's was at this time in his life.

David was humble, accountable, worshipful, cooperative, hopeful, dedicated, and just. He was a righteous king and an effective administrator. He was an initiator of relationships: kind, loving, accepting, restoring, and welcoming. He was sympathetic, protective, and defensive against wrong things done to his people.

I look at those virtues and wonder what it would be like if I applied them all in my life at my job, in my home, everything that I'm involved in. That is what I am striving for. I would love to have just a few of these outstanding virtues. And for some reason, the word restoring sticks out to me.

I have gotten so much out of my David study in just 6 short weeks. And there is still so much more to cover.

Who am I, that you have brought me this far????? That is my prayer today!! One song that I heard recently in church was Heal the Wound, but leave the scar....and it touched me. I love it and who knew that it was a Point of Grace song? I love them as well. Enjoy.

It's been awhile...

we've been super busy, but I'll be catching up soon.

We attended two awesome church services, and spent time with family that was in town.

We were LOVING the warm, breezy beautiful weather...and stayed outside as much as possible today.

Blakely loved the sunny March Sunday too.

Have a blessed Monday!!

Psalm 6:9
The LORD has heard my cry for mercy; the LORD accepts my prayer.
