The PERFECT ending!

What is the perfect ending to summer vacation? A full day spent shopping and eating with great girlfriends, and a relaxing weekend at home with my little family...finishing up projects, running errands, and just being together. :)

3 of my seasons came to Tville Friday morning. They came and visited my classroom, then we went to Tally and didn't get back until close to midnight. Carrie Beth, Jennifer, and I shopped until we literally dropped. We also ate until we were sick. We ate lunch at The Red Elephant and dinner at Carabba's, then really did ourselves in at Fuzions for frozen yogurt. We all ordered something different at each place, then just ate off of each others plates. Sort of like a shared sampler platter. Ha! I think we all found a little "back to school prize" to get us excited about the new school year too! I did get a big laugh on the way home as we used the iPhone app that turns whatever you say into a song. We made up all kinds of hilarious songs, all while racing to get home without running out of gas! So funny!












I am looking forward to our next getaway...in Jacksonville, where all of the seasons will be reunited! Maybe I forgot to share, but our SPRING season is ENGAGED!

I'm still here...

I've just been staying super busy! I have been working up in my classroom like a maniac. I changed the color fabrics and added some new things here and there and I'm loving how it is turning out! Plus, we have lots of new changes happening at our school right now...and with that change comes lots of new teachers. Plus, over half of my wing is brand new! I LOVE all of the new girls and their classrooms are all amazing! I went to lunch with 3 of them on Monday and I just think we're going to have a wonderful year! I'm thrilled!


We even got shelves built into a storage closet RIGHT ouside of my classroom door. It looks amazing and I'm so thankful to have some extra storage!


I have been "listening" to episodes of Glee while I make things for school, and fell in love the this song. It is Poker Face by Lady GaGa...but sung by Rachel and her mom.


Also, I'm pretty obsessed with Pistol Annies, Miranda Lambert's band. There are so many great albums coming out in August!


And I can't forget Audrey Assad. I have had this cd for awhile, but I have been constantly playing it this summer as I drive around town. I love all the songs on the album. This is my favorite today. Her lyrics are very thought provoking. My favorite part is when she sings,"because in YOU I find my meaning." LOVE!


I saw this pic my girl, Rachel Zoe. I completely agree with her quote. :)


I feel like all I do is make lists lately. I have a clasroom to do list, a get things done around the house before I go back to school list, an albums coming out soon to purchase list, and a billion other lists of appointments, games, Bible studies, meetings, and classes...just to name a few. I think this Fall will be super busy in our house!

Tville Treasures

Any shopaholics out there? I know a few that read this blog :)! A few weeks ago, I went picture crazy of cute things I found while I was out and about. These are pictures of things I want, my mama wants, we need for school, think we can make or find cheaper, trends we noticed in every store that we went in, or just want to remember for inspiration or future gift buying. :)
