Last night...

after working all day and then going to class, I changed into my most comfy clothes and Uggs. :) And ventured out to meet a group of friends for a night of fun.

I didn't get any pictures, but yes we were a few of the crazy people that went to the midnight showing of Breaking Dawn. It was really good! I think we were all just a little bit tired at work today, but it was worth it!

Happiness is...

my coworker always says this in sort of a sarcastic way....but these are things that made me happy today!

Buying gifts for upcoming showers and events!

My beloved downtown and the owners of each store that are so fun to talk to!

Hot chocolate (even if it is while doing homework)

Watching Matt practice driving balls across from our front yard.

A relaxing bubble bath!

Hope your Tuesday was GREAT! 3 days left until Thanksgiving BREAK!!! Yay!!

Trouble and distress have come upon me, but your commands give me delight. Psalm 119:143

A perfect kind of Saturday!

I feel like I neve have a "free" weekend. One when I can do anything that I want. I am usually going out of town, or volunteering with JSL. Lots of other things always come up too, and I love doing them all. But I often feel like I am always running from place to place, then Monday arrives and I am exhausted again. Yesterday was perfect.

I attended one of my students birthday party at the bowling alley. :) Then came home to find this sweet pup playing in the yard. We love our Blazers...but decided that we needed to stay in Thomasville for once, plus we had a few other things we wanted to do around town.

Matt and I ran to Publix and then to two downtown shops. One is moving and everything is 70% off. We got a neat print for a steal. Then we went to Rayann's Christian book store. I was looking for a new book to read since I've finished my main Bible Study and we won't start back until January. I LOVE that store. It just put me in the Christmas spirit. Maybe because it was their Christmas open house! Our downtown is so beautiful! I noticed that they have the Christmas lights and balls up in the trees! Yay!

We came home and ate a late lunch, watched an episode of LOST, then took a nap, and watched some football. We NEVER, ever take naps. It was much needed after the late Twilight party night. And I pulled out my retired Jack Rogers to wear. I just love that mustard yellow with brown. They have holes on the sides and bottoms. BUT I heart them so much! And they are SO comfortable. Ok, they will go back into retirement, but I won't throw them away.

We attended Become One....an awesome time of worship at the Municipal Auditorium to end our great Saturday.

I am hooked on this song that we sang there. The words just speak to me.

We got a cherry limeaid for dinner at Sonic. Then sat on our front porch for a few minutes to breathe in the refreshing cold air! I love that it is getting cold out!

Today we have church and I HAVE to work on gifted coursework. HAVE to! But I'm hoping we can also relax and maybe listen to some Christmas music...I think I'm offically ready for the holiday season to begin!

Twilight Saga Viewing Party

With Breaking Dawn coming out next week, we found that it was the perfect time to pull out the first three movies, and have a girls night. We have been talking about doing this for a few months now. It was freezing here in GA and fun to get together with 7 of my friends and relax, eat, and laugh. I was sad that several others had to miss for vaious reasons. Of course, we started at Twilight. :)

I am a lover of all things PLANTATION or "woodsy." And for some reason I pretty much love the town of Forks. So I had to set up a little Forks display.

I also incorporated all 4 book covers. Apples, Tulips, Ribbon, and Chess.....I planned on pulling out my books and displaying them too, but I had a lot of ideas that I just didn't have time to complete.

I used leftover Vampire teeth from Halloween as napkin rings. :)

We ordered Mom and Dads for dinner. We had to have Italian food. SO YUMMY!

Everyone brought snacks too. We also had movie candy and popcorn. I didn't get a picture of the snacks, but belive me...they were delicous as well. Brecca even brought a cooler full of crushed ice (like Zaxby's) from her school. I LOVE that kind of ice! My ice cold Diet Dr Pepper over that crushed ice in a styrofoam cup was the best drink I've ever had.

Twizzlers were a must.

We put Blue Bell Christmas Cookies ice cream in these glasses!

And Matt made Apple Cider Punch. I thought it turned out good.

Very intent movie watchers and hard core Edward fans! Everone that came is Team Edward. But I think I am more of a Team Cullens girl. I really like the entire Cullen clan.

7 of us made it through all 3 movies. Of course, we had to have "intermission" between each movie. And had to just stop the 3rd movie about an hour into it to make coffe and wake up. We took a picture with wearing our vampire teeth right after 2am when everyone was halfway asleep and getting ready to leave. We thought it was so funny that our eyes were glowing in the picture.

I had the best night! And now can't wait for next week to go watch Breaking Dawn with all of my friends in our pajamas!!!

A season of change....

Is it really already November? I can feel it....this fall/winter season is going to be a season of change.

It was a crazy, busy, whirlwind type week in our household. We did get a few chances to have some much needed quality time. I was gearing up for many things...one being my formal observation at school. :) Little did I know, that my beloved support teacher would be making a job change and that it would happen in a matter of days. I knew she was interviewing for a "perfect fit" job opportunity at the hospital. I had a hunch that she got the job...she is awesome. BUT, I never imagined that we would find out that she got the job on Thursday and be told that the next day would be her last one with us. We both cried...and so did the kids! :(

You wouldn't think we would let her leave us without a proper going away/surprise party, did you? :)

On our way to breakfast on Saturday morning! Nice hair, right!?

I attempted a Thanksgiving wreath.

And spray painted some pumpkins a pretty gilver color.

And moved furniture and pictures around in my house. Because that is what I do best when change (stress) happens in my life. :)

Oh, I even changed our kitchen chalkboard. This is only the 3rd time.

November 2011 (My marker is old and wouldn't cooperate...I might just have to erase later and start over.)

I have an equally busy week this week...I have the last night of my Monday night Bible Study...Beth, Priscilla, and Kay are going to be speaking together!!! I have a Junior Service League Meeting and our first Bargain Bazaar meeting of the year, and the second night of our new Marriage Bible Study...which is great so far! Plus a whole lot more!!! :)

I hope everyone has a fantastic Monday!!
