Lucky Scramble

Our BEE Booster's sponsered the First Annual Lucky Scramble Golf Tournament yesterday out at Country Oaks. It was sooo much fun! I loved riding around in the golf carts with my fellow teachers, not to mention the weather was PERFECT!

There were some awesome door prizes!

I loved getting to take sweet Landry on a ride around the course!

After picking up sponser signs from each hole, we enjoyed a catered Granddaddy's lunch.

It was a fun Saturday with my school family! Best of all, our BEE Boosters made a lot of money!!! Woo Hoo!

May the Luck of the Irish be with you...

It has been a week filled with green, trainings, open houses, report cards, soccer games, dead batteries, and showers. Busy, busy, busy. So busy, that on the way home from work yesterday, I just realized that EVERYTHING is blooming. It took my breath away...especially the azaleas and dogwoods.

I made some fun "soccer goodies" for my babies last game on Thursday!

I was trying to bring some green into my outfit one day and a guy told me that he liked that I was wearing Masters colors (I had on navy pants)...haha!

My kids were obsessed with the Leprechaun more than ever before this year. He messed up our room, left glitter, real gold coins, a black pot, rainbows, shamrocks, chocolate coins, clues to find him, and little paint footprints everywhere. We even found a scrap of his clothing. They just had to create a "green" trap to try to catch him. Of course we also had food and drinks that were dyed green and graphed lucky charms too. I have never been so tired on St. Patrick's Day, I have also never heard them be so loud. Anytime they saw anything they thought was a clue in the hallway they would scream and make sure that everyone around knew to be on the lookout for the Leprechaun. Instead of playing on the playground they spent their time digging for the Leprechaun in the wood chips. They just knew that he was hiding in them. Their teacher may have told them that wood chips smell just like 4 leaf clovers...haha! :)

The car battery died in Matt's Honda...it was my fault, I left the lights on. But in my defense it doesn't beep at you to remind you anymore. I was waiting for him to rescue me!

We went downtown to pick up chips and salsa Friday night and it looked so pretty, quiet, and Springy.

We had to have pancakes this week too, in honor of my hometown's annual St. Patty's Pancake supper! I just forgot to get a picture!

I wore these earrings every day this week. I love my green flirties!

Happy Birthday to my sweet niece, Harper! She turned 2 today! Isn't she a cutie?

Happy St. Patrick's Day y'all!

Me and my wreaths...

I love wreaths, Spring, and I am just in the mood to be a little bit crafty. I just need some spare time. I am going to be making both of these soon. There is one other one that I have in my head to make....it is an everyday wreath, I'll just have to post a picture once I make it. I'm thinking Spring Break...

Other than thinking about wreaths....I have been listening to several songs from the new Passion cd. I am the nerd that waited up until midnight, just so I could hear it as soon as it was released. I have been playing Revive Me over and over. It is my new favorite!

Have a great Thursday everyone!

Psalm 143:11
For the glory of your name, O LORD, revive me.

Favorite Furloughed Friday

Well y'all, my furcation is coming to an end. Friday and Monday were furlough days in my school system, and I made the best of my little unpaid vacation.

Friday morning, my friend Robin came over and we tended to some wedding (fashion) business. :) Her son is getting married in just a few weeks. We were having a "moment" where she was trying on her pretty dress to show me, and I happened to look out the window and see that my PRECIOUS ANGEL DOG had laid a dead squirrel on my porch. I am not kidding, I FLIPPED OUT and immediately broke into a sweat! It was awful! AWFUL. Between that and her son, Kyle's, mouse issues in his office, we were ready to get out of town.

We went to Tallahassee around 10:30 and shopped (but not until we dropped...neither of us wanted to stop) until close to 7pm.

We started out at Dillards and got Robin some beautiful, springy outfits. She may have talked me into this cute rope necklace! :) However, we did say no to the $80 tunic and $175 pair of white linen pants.

We went to Blue Abaco, Paisley Daisy, and Sweet Blue. That is where she found my spikers.

We ate lunch at 3:00...haha! We went to Newk's. It is a new Mississippi sandwich, salad, soup place it was GOOD!

Then we went to Steinmart, Hobby Lobby, Target, back to Sweet Blue, then headed home. I found some cute spring birds and an egg at Steinmart. Robin also bought me this wooden cross to feed my Pinterest addiction.

I meant to get a picture of us the entire time, but never did. She is such a good friend to me, and we had some good talks! I also love that even though she is the assistant principal at my school, we hardly ever talk about school. We always get caught up on the school happenings since we don't teach on the same hall anymore, but then usually move on to faith, family, fashion, music, Bible Study, TV shows and trials. I can read her mind and boy do we laugh. Haha! :)

As soon as she dropped me off, I headed over to Quitman, GA to meet the 4 seasons and frusbands (friend husbands) for dinner. We met Carrie's roommate and just caught up. It is always funny to listen to our conversations when we haven't seen each other for awhile. We jump around and interrupt and have to repeat things a million times. It is an experience. Love my good girl friends! We ended up going over to Valdosta for more Target shopping and then Starbucks. I think only the boys got coffee. Us girls, talked some more and looked at my magazine.

My heart couldn't have been any fuller! Thank you, Lord for so many wonderful friendships.

Toes in the sand...

I couldn't wait to arrive on the island! It was wonderful...just a little bit chilly! We read, listened to music, talked, and walked on the beach. It was so nice to be in such a peaceful place together...with no work to distract us. Don't get me wrong, we LOVE our small town and wouldn't trade it for anything. We also love our jobs, but sometimes it is just nice to get away!

And how cute are these spikers? My sweet friend, Robin, knew that Matt and I were heading to SGI, so she just wouldn't take no for an answer, and got these nautical inspired spikers for us on Friday. They are amazing! No sand on your drinks!

Bring on Spring and Summer!!!
