The best day of our lives!!!

Molly Caroline was born at 3:54pm on June 4, 2013. She was 7.7 lbs and 19 1/2 in long. She is perfect and beautiful! We are overwhelmed with love for our baby girl and so thankful for the Lord's faithfulness to us. We look at her and cry because we can't believe she is ours.
We're starting to get into a routine, so I'll catch up the blog soon!

We've made it to June!

Molly Caroline's birth month is here! We just weren't sure if our June baby was going to surprise us early and be born in May...but here we are! We are 3 days away (maybe even sooner) from meeting our baby daughter!!! I'm just so excited, so thankful, and so nervous! :)

I've been resting a lot, but also enjoying my summer days! Memorial Day kind of kicks of summer in my opinion. When I think of my summer baby and the years to come, I think of hydrangeas, peonies, red white and blue, pool time, lazy summer days, grilling out, fire flies, seersucker, white, popsicles, late night walks, library trips, weddings, recitals, vacations, VBS, etc. So much fun to look forward to!

We went to a dance recital last Sunday. Oh it brought back memories of my years in dance. Seeing the little ones dance thrilled my heart! I got to go backstage at intermission with Mindy and was right in the middle of the all the chaos...be still my heart!!! And are these flowers not the fanciest that you've ever seen? :) Matty dutifully held them until the recital was over! It was refreshing to get out of the house for awhile.

Memorial Day morning we went up to the hospital so I could have a non-stress test and get some blood drawn. Everything was great! We took this picture in the elevator. :) We're old pros at visiting labor and delivery now.

Our neighbors came over to grill out for Memorial Day! It was a fun night! Bocci ball, yummy grilled corn, and watermelon. The homemade ice cream didn't quite turn out...so milkshakes were made instead. :) I couldn't resist just a little festive flare!

Tuesday night Matt and I went to Tallahassee to pick up our activity mat that we had a gift card for. We also went on one last date before MC's arrival! We went to the Melting Pot...somewhere we had never been before. It was a sweet night!

Wednesday I had my 38 week appointment!!! It went great! My body made just a little bit of progress and I am measuring on track. My Dr. contemplated inducing the next day which would've been May 30th...but my blood pressure was fine so we are sticking with the original plan. The only food that sounded good to me that day were cupcakes from Smallcakes in Valdosta. Since Matt was working there he brought me home a surprise. They are so big that you can only eat one...and definitely not all the icing. I ate my second one the next day for breakfast. What happened to all of my fruit and veggie cravings?

Thursday I had a regular NST. Everything was good! I also just can't get over my hydrangeas. It takes everything in me not to go outside and cut off every bloom. I also ordered Molly Caroline a headband off of Etsy about a week ago and it came in. I was thrilled that the seller included an extra surprise on the outside of the package! I will definitely order from her again!

Friday Blakely and I rode with Matt while he ran errands for us around town on his lunch break. How gorgeous is our small town? I love it so! I washed blankets, and worked on some nurse appreciation gifts. My friend, Gini, came over and helped Matt add some anchors to the tumblers. :) I wanted the gifts to match our love for nautical things, summer, and her first birthday party! I hope I don't change my mind by next June! My parents are coming tomorrow and my Mom is bringing the fillers for the cups! We also finally got our freezer cleaned out and organized. Organization makes me happy!

Matt is doing yard work today and we are just having a lazy day at home other than grocery shopping. I've requested that we have steak, sweet potatoes, squash, and asparagus for supper. We got our newborn pictures set up with a sweet photographer in town! This is so new to us...we've never had professional pictures taken and it makes me nervous to take MC out so early. Welcome to motherhood, I guess. :) We spoiled our baby golden with some new toys to keep her busy when MC makes her debut. We have one more special toy that she will get when we get home from the hospital. She's been our baby for 6 years...a little last minute spoiling never hurt anyone. :) Maybe we will watch a movie and get in some back porch time tonight too.

Happy Weekend everyone!!!!

37 Weeks and a "Birthday"!!!!

I'm trying out this Friday FIVE that I've been seeing!!! Maybe I'll actually link up next week!

I'm full term and we have a "Birthday" scheduled!!! Yes...in 10 days (OR LESS if she chooses) we will meet our baby girl! We are just waiting on Molly Caroline to make her appearance! I had the BEST Dr's appointment on Tuesday. Dr. McCollum walked in...even before checking me and said, "Let's set the date for June 4th...I'm on that day!" What!!?? I was surprised and happy! It feels so good to know that her birthday might be 6-4-13! I have my appointment next week. Then I will go on the morning of the 3rd and she will decide if I need to go to the hospital that night to get things started, or if I will just wait until the morning of the 4th. Of course, our baby girl may decide to come earlier on her own. We shall see!! My body is making progress so that is good news! I just have to say that I am so blessed by my doctor, her nurse, and care coordinator. Thankful and grateful for them don't begin to describe the feelings that I have for them. Right now I feel very calm. Just completely overwhelmed by excitement!!! P.S. this picture was taken around midnight after sleepless night number 4! I don't look this awful everyday...even on bed rest. :)

I love that Matt and Blakely love golf so much. I hope that MC does too! I love our patriotic little garden flag! I'm ready for all things red, white, and blue! I can't believe that I'll be having a SUMMER baby! A baby in my season during such a fun, special time of year!

My neighbors are awesome! They came to visit (rescue) me from the boredom of bed rest! They know me!

My friend Bethany made this adorable wreath for us to take to the hospital!!!! I love it! The flowers...and her sweet name on the pennants!

Yesterday was the last day of school for my babies! I went up there to visit them and was spoiled by flowers, fudge, notes, and the cutest bag imaginable. I am actually going to take the bag to the hospital to hold Matt's snacks and treats for the nurses (as long as I have a few more days)!!! Even Molly Caroline got some thoughtful gifts :) I sure am grateful for all the people at my school that are working together to wrap the school year up for me so I don't have to worry about anything.

Blooms and bed rest.

I don't really have a green thumb, but I love plants and flowers. We planted hydrangeas last year and they are blooming!! So exciting!!

And our magnolia tree that we planted has a lot of meaning and it's flowers are beautiful and they smell so good!!! Matt and I go outside everyday and check! We are nerds!

I will be sad when we have to cut back our roses. They grow really fast, but I love how full they are right now!

It is hard to believe that I have been on bed rest for a week now. I finished all of my end of the year paperwork and brought it all up to the school. Now, I'm working on thank you notes. Aren't these the cutest?? Thank you Target dollar spot!

When we found out that we were pregnant we made a monthly getting ready for baby budget. We wrote down what we wanted to purchase each month leading up to delivery. Well one of the last things on our list was a good camera. I really didn't think we were going to be able to get one before MC was born. My hubby is too good to me! I love it!

Speaking of a great husband. He made the best veggie pizza for us this week! And he even hand chopped ice and mixed in Crystal Light fruit punch powder to help satisfy my 10pm snow cone craving. It was soooo refreshing and good!

My aunt and uncle had a Pack N Play sent to our house this week! It was an item that I didn't register for, because I wasn't sure how much we would use it. However, I am so thankful to have one on hand! And what a cute pattern! I love it!

Matt's boss was in town this week and he was just too kind!

Also, do you see how precious these boots are?

I'm feeling good and hoping that I stay like that!!!
