Bows, babysitters, birthday cake, and babies!

We have had a great weekend!! A busy one at that!

There is a group in Thomasville that orders childrens boutique items for a steal...if there is enough interest. A few weeks ago a buy was opened for dirt cheap bows. Uh yeah, I got 10, but should've probably just ordered every color. Maybe they will order again. They are the perfect size for her right now!! They are the ones all the way to the left!

I worked in my classroom this weekend. Thankfully, I have put it back together quicker than ever before! I will probably work in it one more day before pre-planning. It is crazy how fast I can work now that Molly Caroline is here! She spent some time in Stingerville for the first time of many I'm sure!

We went on our first date since MC arrived! My friend Robin offered to keep her kind of spur of the moment. I said no at first, but Matt really wanted to go, so we did. We ate at Jonah's downtown! We had a great time but were very ready to get home afterwards. We were grateful for a chance to spend some quality time together. It really didn't feel any different than before we had her, but of course every baby girl that we saw made us miss Molly Caroline terribly. We can't wait to bring her with us next time!

We went to a surprise birthday party down the street on Saturday night. It was super fun! Molly Caroline went with us and did so good! Some of my league friends were there, and I talked with a girl that had her first child, a little girl, the day after Molly Caroline. She was actually induced the same day that I was. I remember asking if any body else was in labor and they told me that someone else was being induced as well. Who knew that it was a fellow league member? However...she had some issues and delivered on the 5th. Her due date was actually the day before mine. I remember hearing that our babies were both in the nursery together, but I never saw her in the hospital. So funny how those things work out! It was fun comparing stories! They had a pretty big tiered birthday cake, and Brandee brought us over a huge chunk of it last night. I didn't need it, but it was amazing! :)

Our neighbors had their precious little boy this weekend! I was already up late watching Call the Midwife...when I realized that I got a text that Leslie's water broke! We texted on and off all night, basically every time I got up to feed Molly Caroline. It was really exciting!! Our whole family went up to the hospital on Saturday along with our neighbors. Then I went back by myself on Sunday. The nurse that was measuring Gary, was also our nurse on our last day in the hospital. She was amazing and pretty much helped me go home sane. She was just extremely helpful and encouraging...I thought it was neat that both babies got loved on by such a great nurse! I was also glad that she got to see MC! Another cool thing is that they stayed in the same room that we were in over in Mother/Baby. It was a little weird being back in the same place so soon after our own stay! I love our PS3 family! Molly Caroline and Gary are going to officially meet tonight. :)

Look at Molly Caroline's chin! She was not pleased at all that Matt pulled the bottle out of her mouth for the picture! :)

I have some fun friends coming over in a bit that I'm excited to catch up with! And I'm still behind on blogging. But hopefully I'll catch up soon!!

Summer Days!

Our summer is just flying by! We've spent our summer days learning our new routine and visiting with lots of friends and family. I know I need to go back to work. But the thought of leaving Molly Caroline makes me cry...every time. So I'm just trying to not think about it yet.

One night we played catch phrase with our neighbors and were so loud! Molly Caroline just slept through the chaos.

I had a hair appointment and left Molly Caroline with Matt for that and a quick run to Publix. She was so sweet looking up at me before I left!

I've been dressing Molly Caroline in my old clothes. She likes them! :)

We got these cute matching shirts from my college roomie, bridesmaid, and sweet friend, Jamie. She lives in Louisiana now. Love them!

Monday night we went over to our friends, the Pierce's. They just built their house and it is beautiful! Dinner was delicious too! We had chocolate pie for dessert. Mindy outdid herself! Yum!

Molly Caroline also got to meet Mimi while we were there...she will be keeping her this fall!!

My friend Myrna came to visit and brought the best chicken salad ever! I love visits from sweet friends!

MC had her 5 week checkup yesterday. Her Dr is so sweet and always remembers things that impress us! She weighed 9.3 pounds and is now 21 inches long! We're very thankful for a healthy girl!

I had to run downtown afterwards to make an exchange for my mom. I might've then stopped by my newest fave...Mary Madison. The entire store was on sale! And I just couldn't pass up these pjs for my growing girl!

We got the football schedule in the mail since we are season ticket holders!!! So excited to take Molly Caroline to her first game!

Our Sunday school class has been bringing us meals every Tuesday and Thursday. We are so thankful for that! Our friends Mandy and Suzanne brought us supper last night and we had such a fun visit. They even stayed to feed MC while Matt and ate together.

We've been listening to Hillsong's Glorious Ruins cd....I love the songs....but the lyrics to Anchor stick out to me right now!

And the Nashville soundtrack. This is actually one of Matt's favorite songs in real life too. :)

My new favorite show is Kathy Lee and Hoda. I forgot about my love for morning talk shows. I will miss it when I'm not home anymore. I have it on while MC takes her morning nap.

We have a low key end to our week. I'm going to work in my classroom some and we're waiting on our neighbors to have their little boy!!! We also have a surprise party to go to on Saturday night. Sweet Summertime!

Peonies, Pearls, and Pretty Memories!

Some pictures that I want to always remember...I'm sure I'll think of more to add later.

The flowers Molly Caroline and I received from Matt! Peonies are tied for my favorite flower with hydrangeas.
My pushing pearls!

Molly Caroline's coming home outfit. The smocked neckline had little pearls sewn around it...her birthstone. She also had a pearl on her headband, along with a rose...Thomasville's signature flower.

The lyrics framed in her nursery.

These pillowcases and gown will forever remind me of my hospital stay and Molly Caroline's birth!

Happy 4th of July and 1 Month MC!!!

Molly Caroline turned 1 month old yesterday, July 4th. It seems like yesterday that I had her! We want her to stay little forever, but already are loving her little wide eyed personality and can't wait to watch her grow. It was fun to celebrate her turning 1 month old on her first holiday!

Molly Caroline loves to be held and I have a hard time putting her down. She is a snuggler. I recently came upon this quote and it has stuck with me.

She loves her Nuk pacifiers. I love searching for new designs. It's her favorite accessory so I do what I have to. Ha!

She takes a bottle well! I'm thankful for that.

She likes to ride in the car, be pushed in her stroller, and be carried in the Moby or
Baby Bjorn.

She loves her nursery. If she is ever upset, it usually calms her down. She also loves to lay on her changing pad and look at her chandelier.

Looking at lights may be her favorite thing to do.

We've been listening to a lot of Christy Nockels and Hillsong during feedings.

She loves to be swaddled at night and her rock n play sleeper. She sleeps well right now. We usually have a 4-5 hour stretch and then a 3 hour one. As soon as we lay her down, her eyes pop open and she just contently looks around our bedroom for a while before falling asleep. I can't close my eyes until hers close. :)

She is lifting her head! She is a strong girl!

She likes her monkey swing most of the time!

I love the little sounds that she makes.

Blakely has started to warm up to her baby sis!

Molly Caroline likes the rain sound that her Sleep Sheep makes.

She has been downtown several times. She's been to Mary Madison, Loli's, Our New Baby, Target, and Publix.

We've eaten at Texas Roadhouse in Tally, at a Mexican restaurant with our neighbors, and at Aunt Jenn's house in Valdosta.

Molly Caroline slept through her first fireworks show!

She met her Poppy, Foxy, Uncle B, Auntie M, Poppy Bill, Pops, Ellen, Aunt Marion, all her Aunt Seasons, and lots of family friends.

Matt and I can't get over how beautiful, smart, and sweet she is! We are so glad she's ours!!!

Happy 1 Month baby girl! We love you more than anything!

Five on Friday!

I finally decided to link up for Five on Friday. It is a stormy afternoon here in South Georgia. Molly Caroline is snuggled up to me in the Moby wrap and Blakely is right at my feet. We are looking forward to Matt coming home from work and our neighbors coming over tonight! I feel like I'm about to get in the groove of regular blogging again. I have a lot to catch up on from the last month.

One. Matt and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary on Monday! We usually celebrate at a beach somewhere, but last year we spent our 6 year in Charleston...and this year we celebrated with Molly Caroline. We picked up dinner from Longhorn and drove by the hospital (since 3 weeks ago at that time we were starting the induction process!!). We wouldn't trade our low key anniversary for anything. It is probably the most special of all. I cut flowers and lit candles for our "fancy" meal. Afterwards we Skyped all the grandparents! We were getting MC ready for bed and I snapped a picture of us.

Two. Target trips are my favorite. I love driving 20 minutes over to Target in north Tally. Something about that drive is peaceful and refreshing. I've been twice since having Molly Caroline. I had to get more bottles and pacifiers. Molly Caroline likes Nuk paci's the best. They gave her one in the hospital and those are her favorites. I have like 6 different kinds at the house and she doesn't prefer them. She will take her Wubanub sometimes too.I got this cute gold notebook to write down questions for her Pediatrician, my Dr, and also to make lists on. I also picked up this little calendar to keep in my purse with all of our many appointments coming up in.
My Erin Condren planner runs out in July and I wasn't going to purchase one this year...until I saw the pink with gold. Oh my goodness....y'all know I have a weakness for anything gold. We will see if I give in! I mean I do have a lot on my plate with being a wife and mommy, teaching, and taking on the corresponding secretary duties of Junior Service League. :)

Three. Lessons from Gideon. I bought this Bible Study to do with Beth Moore this summer. I love Priscilla and thought that "Your Weakness, God's Strength" sounded like just what I need to be doing as a new mom. I haven't gotten very far in the workbook yet, but I've listened to both of Beth's videos from her blog and they are so good! Beth talked about how the summer season is hot and dry. But how fruit ripens in the summer. And how there is something unique and new about the current season that we're in. Well my unique season is being a new mom. Mommyhood is beautiful and rewarding and such an amazing gift, but it can be overwhelming and tiring too! She shared Psalm 138:3 from the NET. When I cried out for help, you answered me. You made me bold and energized me. I can't wait to dig deeper into the study.

Four. Be still my heart. I have a snuggler on my hands. I was putting away clothes in Molly Caroline's closet this morning while she was hanging out in her bouncer watching me. Her little tutu caught my eye, and just because it is so tiny, I was worried that it won't fit her much longer. So I decided to try it on her. Well it was so sweet that I just left it on and she ended up napping on my chest. I was reading something and when I looked down I just knew it was a memory that I wanted to cherish forever and never forget. My sweet baby...my daughter...a gift from the Lord. I am so thankful for her!

Five. Three of my favorite songs right now. Whenever I hear this version by Meredith Andrews I just have a constant picture show in my head of my life....getting married, moving to a new town, getting a job, going back to school, buying our house, trying to get pregnant, Matt losing his job, finding his new job, our miscarriage, finding out we were pregnant and having a girl, different big events in our lives, sad times in our lives, all my Dr appointments, and the birth of Molly Caroline. I put this song on a cd in my car last August and have probably listened to it everyday since. I still haven't taken the cd out.

I have some of the lyrics to this song written on a chalkboard window in our bedroom. The part that says, "And every gift that I receive, you determine just for me"....makes me want to just fall on my knees because I am so overwhelmed by our miracle. I also think about what I thought I wanted...but turns out that what I wanted at other times wasn't God's plan for me to have when I wanted it. This song is such a good reminder.

I just put this cd in my car recently (I was taking a break from it) and when I heard this song for the first time in a while I just felt like it was my heart right now. I told Matt that and he said he felt the same way...the lyrics "Jesus, we believe you are ALL to us" and "Let the saving love of Christ, be the MEASURE OF OUR LIVES" just seems right to sing all the time.
