6 months!!!

Molly Caroline is halfway to one! On Wednesday, Dec.4th, she turned 6 months old!

She's reached some fun and scary milestones!

She rolls over from her back to tummy now. She is so fast at it and for the past week, has been a tummy sleeper. That is beyond scary to me! I usually wake up every 30 min to hour to check her face. So, this week I feel like I have a newborn and I'm exhausted! But she loves doing it, so I'm proud of her too!

She touches (scrapes) every single thing. Patterns, jewelry, sparkly ornaments, and her bows are her favorites.

It is amazing to see her in her exersaucer. She touches everything, reaches high, and spins herself around.

She can sit by herself...but not for long, she is still pretty wobbly! :)

Molly Caroline was dedicated to The Lord at our church. She looked adorable and did so good!!

We took our first long road trip over Thanksgiving down to Boca. She did so good!

When she cries now it sounds like she's saying mama.

Sometimes it sounds like she says hey daddy too! It is so funny!!

She loves to laugh. We do the silliest things to make it happen!

My favorite thing is hearing her little breathing sounds. When she smiles or sees you from a distance she will do the sweetest breaths. I love it more than anything!

She is basically wearing 6 month clothes now. A lot of 3-6 still fits though.

She likes oatmeal with bananas ok. She likes applesauce ok. We will start veggies this month!!

We finally said good bye to her rock n play sleeper. Her feet were literally hanging over the edge. But it was probably our best baby purchase.

She loves her teethers and all of her toys.

If I'm holding my phone (or anything really) she will grab it and take it from me.

When she wakes up she just lays there and talks. It's precious! Then as soon as she hears you, she's all smiles.

She loves to reach for Blakely and laughs when Blakely comes close and licks her!

She was memorized by the Christmas lights and reaches to touch the branches.

Music is still her favorite thing!

Molly Caroline you are such a special baby! We are overwhelmed with the blessing that you are in our life daily. I cry thinking you won't be a baby next Christmas. (Have y'all seen that sad commercial about never growing up?). But I'm so proud of every milestone you reach. It is so much fun watching you grow! We love you more than anything.

Organization and Christmas Prep!

I went finally went through Molly Caroline's clothes in her closet and drawers yesterday. I put away all of her newborn and 0-3 month clothing. She currently wears 3-6m clothes, but if it was too summery then I packed it up too. Her clothes were so tiny. And each one sparked my memory about something precious. Her first smile, holiday, dr visit....the list goes on and on and on. :) I'm saving a lot. I hope to make something out of all her monogrammed clothes. And a lot of things I put away in case we have another girl one day. I also filled a bag to donate at Bargain Bazaar in February.

Molly Caroline has the tiniest feet and only one pair of shoes stays on her feet well...but I went ahead and packed up her newborn shoes to give away. I love her little closet. I'm proud that it has stayed so organized. While doing this, I envisioned her pulling everything off the shelves and out of baskets next year. :)

We went to Walmart last night to get some storage containers and I bought my first Christmas purchases of the season. Some sparkly gold ornaments for Molly's tree and this cute little plaid candle. I love all plaids and checks! The ornaments reminded me of the white sparkly ornaments on my Nanny's tree that were my favorite growing up.

Thankful for days like these...

I am officially on Thanksgiving break and I am so excited for lots of quality family time!

Matt and I were in agreement yesterday, that it was the best day that we've had in awhile. We had so much fun!

We had family pictures/Molly Caroline's 6 month pics done out at one of our favorite plantations. We are obsessed with plantations and loved walking around and taking in all the beauty. Our photographer was hilarious, kind, and made us feel super comfortable. She brought her hubby along and I love that we made some new friends. :) Plus, Molly Caroline looked adorable!! I can't wait to see them!

After that, we went to brunch at Q Cafe downtown. It is our favorite breakfast/lunch spot these days. We went in one shop and got cupcakes too. Plus, the nutcrackers are up!!! That just put me in the holiday spirit! I love this time of year!

We came home and did a little organizing, took a nap (3rd nap I've had since MC has been born!), made enchiladas and caught up on our shows, then had porch time. It's the first weekend we've been home or could just do what we wanted. It was perfection. The dreary winter weather made everything feel extra cozy!

I'm excited about decorating for Christmas after church today!!

5 months old!

2 weeks late! How can we have a 5 1/2 month old!?

Molly Caroline is such a happy, content baby! She is so much fun! I love the age that she is!

She loves to look at herself in the mirror. She laughs and smiles so big.

She loves children. They come near her and she lights up with excitement!

She still isn't crazy about rice cereal. She has had a bite or two of applesauce. I figured she'd love it since I craved apples  while I was pregnant...but I was wrong.

She rolls over.

She loved to stand up. All the time.

She likes her exersaucer.

She loves to kick the piano keys on a mat at Mrs. Pam's.

She loves her car seat pull toys that rattle. Her Jacques and Sophie too.

She reaches for everything. Toys, phones, jewelry. She loves my sparkly watch.

She started touching our faces. Be still my heart!

She scrapes/feels everything. I love to hear her scrape the seatbelt while I'm driving.

She talks nonstop. Especially at night.

She wears bibs a lot because she drools so much. We thought she would already have teeth...but still none!

She still eats 4 oz per feeding and sometimes 5 at night.

She is still sleeping through the night. She goes to bed early, but rises early too!

I love to be there when she first wakes up from the night or a nap because you just look her way and she gives the biggest smiles. Then if you walk near her she gets so excited and kicks her legs!

She makes the sweetest sound when she sees her bottle.

She hears me when I pick her up from the babysitter and starts looking all around. Melts my heart!

She went to her first pumpkin patch!

She was a Pumpkin and a Ladybug for her first Halloween!

She sleeps unswaddled now. She loves to put her hands above her head like her daddy!

Her little high pitched squeal of excitement is our favorite!

We love her belly laugh when you tell her "I love you, I love you, I love you" really fast!

Molly Caroline, you are a joy! We are grateful for every second we have with you. We cherish everything about you!

Saturday Six

Molly Caroline and I were twins this week! Yes, apparently I'm THAT mom. :)
Halloween in Kindergarten is no joke! My kids decorated their own spider cupcakes during their Halloween party! And the candy...

Molly Caroline still doesn't love rice cereal but she tolerates it. However she loves her bottle!

MC loves standing. And laughs at herself in the mirror daily!

We ate Mexican with friends last night and Matt and I actually got a picture together! Love my hubs!

Plantation wildlife festival is coming up! I can't wait!! Two of my students were top 50 finalists this year! That's a huge honor!   So I went to a little reception for them above the Bookshelf last night! I love our town!

Happy weekend everyone!!

Halloween 2013

Molly Caroline was a ladybug for her first Halloween! She looked adorable!

We gave out candy and visited at some friends houses! We ended up wearing our little ladybug out! Do you see her sprawled out on the couch?

Here are some pictures of her wearing different Halloween outfits.

And this last picture is of us on Halloween morning before I went to work. I was a bumblebee at school.

Pizza and Pumpkins

On Tuesday our PS3 group had our 2nd annual pizza and pumpkins night where we carve our pumpkins together! This year we added 2 babies to the mix. SO fun! Molly Caroline wore her pumpkin costume of course, and Gar was a ninja turtle.
I think our pumpkins turned out even better than our monogrammed ones last year!
Love our neighbors and our traditions!
