How I survived my first week of school for the eighth time...

Well technically my ninth if I count student teaching and being a support teacher after I graduated in December.

I wore comfortable shoes. My Jack Rogers jelly flip flops are super comfy. I can stand all day without my feet hurting.

I drank lots of water and a few diet cokes here and there!

I blasted praise and worship music. On replay. This helped tremendously with my 4am wake up calls (the only time I could get what I needed done) and also times that I felt overwhelmed. Last week was BUSY!

I enjoyed duty free lunch with the other kindergarten teachers on my wing. I love it! I haven't had a duty free lunch since I taught second grade.

Surprise visits from the best hubby in the world helped greatly!

Adding in a few new fun things to do with my students to break up all the rules, routines, procedures, and abc talk! ;)

Seeing this precious face around 4pm and scooping her up into my arms!

Those are my secrets!

Getting back in the swing of things...

Tuesday was hard. My baby cried when we left her! I'm pretty sure mama AND daddy did too! Thankfully, Every day she did better and better! Whew!

I got lots done this week in my classroom. I feel organized, ready, and thankful to have my same support again and to be working with my friend and awesome inclusion teacher again. My class seems great and open house went really well!

I worked late one night and Molly Caroline had fun shopping for my classroom and running the halls of my school.

We were so tired this week! But made time for lots of stories and ice cream on the back porch. I even did some hand sewing! Haha!

I had a JSL board meeting one night and MC and Blakely had fun outside time with Matty.

Friday night we had a family date night to celebrate getting through our first week back. This was before we left!

Saturday we relaxed all morning long and then had Kollin's birthday party, Molly Caroline's friend from daycare.

We also had a little meet and greet reception at church for one of our new associate pastors. The neat thing about that is that we love their family and were reunited with them. They are from Valdosta! Chip was Matt's youth minister. In college, Chip and Jeannie were our college teachers for awhile. I also worked under Mrs. Jeannie in the nursery in college. What a small world!

I am hopeful that this will be my best year yet!

Molly Caroline's favorites!

Well, today is the dreaded day. I'm up getting ready to go back to work. :( I know that Molly Caroline will love seeing all her friends today though! I've just loved playing and teaching her this summer though. I feel like she's grown and learned so much since the end of May. I guess we are ready.

These are some of the things she loved this summer!

Riding her shopping cart/motorcycle as Matt calls it.

Sitting at her table. Eating finger paint!

Her car. Sitting in it backwards especially.

Playing at her water table.

Snuggles and kisses!

Elmo!

Shopping dates!

Going up to the playroom.

Napping.

Eating real food!

I'm probably missing some things! Maybe there will be a part two!

Summer fun in Dublin

We spent some time in middle GA this week as Matt worked that area for work. It was perfect timing because we got to celebrate my moms birthday while we were there!

We were waiting to have cake when our big girl actually started walking! She just wanted her grandparents, aunt, and uncle to see her! Crazy! What a birthday present for Foxy!

What a difference a year makes!

Poppy took MC to Dairy Queen for the first time. Safe to say she loves ice cream! We use to go there after every dance recital so it was neat to go back and take Molly Caroline.

She had the best time being spoiled!

I'm so thankful we got to make one last summer visit!

13 and a half months old!

Molly Caroline is so much fun to be home with this summer. I find that even working on something when she isn't napping when Matt gets home or running a quick errand without her just hurts my soul. We've spent basically every waking second together this summer and I can't take being away from her. It's gonna be bad news on Tuesday when I start work again.

Molly Caroline loves to clap. If she hears yay or good job, she'll clap. If she gets a shape in the right slot on her shape sorter, she claps. Plus we ask her to clap all the time because it's so cute.

She waves and says bye with a southern drawl. It melts my heart. If anyone waves at her she says bye....even if they're waving hello! Hahaha!

She blows kisses...a lot of times from her eye.

She gives kisses by opening her mouth and basically head butts you.

She "loves" her stuffed animals and puppy. Basically that means she loves on them and hugs, rocks, and kisses them. It is so adorable.

Her little voice saying uh oh is precious.

She points her finger and forcefully says no often. She's sassy for sure.

She's been better lately at keeping her bow in. If she pulls it out I'll get it and put it in my hair. She then pulls it out of mine and tries to put it back in hers.

She started walking! She has been walking holding on to furniture and walls all summer. She was just ready, and once she took off she was strong and balanced from the start. She still crawls some.

She loves to climb. She climbs over everything! Loves stairs, her chair, and cozy coupe. She's sort of a dare devil. Not good for her fraidy cat mom!

She hates baths. I never thought I'd type that. She now stands and crys and it definitely takes two of us to bathe her now. Believe me, I've tried everything I can think of.I'm ready for her to love them again.

She is such a good eater. She eats ands says, mmmmmm! :)

She has become so scheduled and used to our routine that when we lay her down she rolls over, grabs her crib animal, waits for her blanket. We turn on the sound machine, turn off the lights, and within 3 minutes she is usually out. She's always been a great sleeper, but we went through a phase of her wanting to fight sleep at the end of the school year. I'm thankful for this. I know it could change instantly though.

Her favorite word to say is "ba". She loves balls. She spots them everywhere. Oranges at Publix, the big sculptures at Target. It's really cute.

She also lights up and starts babbling when we see balloons.

She loves to walk up to Matt's guitar and strum it. She's pretty good.

She loves to dance and dances often. It's our favorite thing! She just loves music. She taps her foot too.

She is irresistable when she holds her arms up for us and also when she opens her mouth super wide and laughs! She thinks everything is funny!

She is so observant. If she's looking at my earring, she will whip her head around to make sure the other one is in too.

She also looks at people from head to toe. It's pretty funny!

Our baby loves Elmo, and dances with sheer delight if she sees his picture.

She imitates putting blush and lipstick on. So cute!

She wears a size 1 shoe now and wears 12m clothes!

She's a mess. Too adorable for words. So smart. And 100 percent loveable! She has grown from the best baby to the sweetest little toddler, but she will always be my baby. Forever and ever.
