Beach trip, baby clothes, and books.

We spent part of Labor Day weekend on 30A. Matt's family goes to Destin...that's their beach. We love Destin too, but our beaches of choice are on the coast of Georgia and South Caroline. We've always loved Daufuskie Island, Isle of Palms, and St. Simons. We like St. George Island for day trips!

Now we have a new favorite strip of beaches that we can add to the top of our list. We love Seaside, Seacrest, and Rosemary the best! We like to stop by Grayton too. :)

On our trip we ate at Red Bar and La Cocina. We shopped in Rosemary, and just hung out in Seacrest! Dave Matthews blasted from Seacrest....Matt was in heaven! We made a quick stop to Alys beach too. Saturday we took Molly Caroline to SeaGrove to have a beach day. She hated the sand! She was content to sit in her crab pool. So, it ended up being much more relaxing than Matt and I thought. We can't wait to go back next year.

I have a friend in my neighborhood that has a little girl with a M name that is about a year and a half older than MC. So I was able to buy some M clothes this week for my baby! Jessica just got an embroidery machine (a pretty good one at that) so I'm looking forward to a lot more M things in the future. :) We met while I was pregnant. Jessica taught our birthing class and also ended up being my mother baby nurse the night I was induced. She is awesome!

I ordered Molly Caroline some new books from Scholastic. We love fall around here!
And I got these two from our book fair.

I just started reading this book! Love it so far!

14 months old!

My baby is actually 15 months old today!

She is running everywhere!

She loves to twirl!

She was running through the house just laughing with her mouth wide open tonight! Her new favorite "song" is Humpty Dumpty.

She understands so much! She knows exactly what we are saying half of the time.

She's still sleeping great and eating great!

She likes to play with her shape sorter, tea set, make up, mega blocks, golf clubs, piano, stuffed animals, shoes, and books.

She loves loves loves shoes, stuffed animals, blankets, sunglasses, hats, and bracelets.

She also loves her cup!

She loves wading through her baby pool, running on the golf course, dancing, clapping, balls, balloons, putting shoes on, driving my car before I leave for work, and loving her babies and animals. Oh and petting Blakely.

She does not like sand, outfit changes, peas, or being set down suddenly.

She loves to read and likes baths again too! Thankfully!

She runs to the door when she heard a key turning in it and thinks Blakely's barks are funny.

She says, hey, bye (with a very southern accent), no, uh oh, thank you, love you, Blakely, mama, daddy, yay, more, bye Blakely, there she is (when playing peek a boo) and sings what sounds like her ABC's.

I think her favorite foods are eggs, kidney beans, black beans, chicken, hamburger, broccoli, green beans, watermelon, cherries, grapes, bananas, prunes, raisins, yogurt, goldfish, Cheerios, fruit pouches, zucchini, cheese, and ice cream.

Molly Caroline you are our greatest gift. You make everyday do much fun! How we love you so, our precious baby girl!

Bye Bye Summer clothes! Hello Stain Remover!

I whipped this stain remover last week.

Molly Caroline is a really neat eater but she still had a few stains on some of her nice clothes from goldfish snacks, black beans, and red fruit. It worked really well! Even got a drop of tomato sauce out of a white smock.

Now her clothes are all stain free and ready to be put away. :( I made my save, share, and sell pile.

She will be able to wear some next year again. The others I will pass on to my labor and delivery nurse turned friend :) for her baby girl. We share clothes. It's awesome! She returned a few of the 0-3 month outfits that her baby wore this summer in her sons bookbag at school this week.

Now, bring on some fall weather!

It's official....

the hardest month of the teaching year is over. My body has adjusted and so has my family. I always feel a little refreshed and excited after Labor Day because apples, pumpkins and Fall Break are on the horizon!

Now if I can just keep my house in order! I'm starting a cleaning schedule that I found this week. I'll post it if it works for me!

This week in school was kind of rough. Not real sure why. Some days were great others were wild! :/

We worked on sentences and spacing. We started a new compliment incentive for a Popsicle party. We also had some fun on trikes this week!
We did day and night and learned about the moon.

I forgot to bring a coconut to crack open during Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and my kids were super interested in doing it, so we did that this week too.

We are practicing acting out nursery rhymes for grandparents day too. Stuffed Humpty Dumpty's were a hit. And our iPads. They are absolutely obsessed with those!
At home we stayed busy with church, life groups, playing in the half finished :) playroom and spending time at the golf course. Monday felt glorious so we soaked up tons of outside time. And bed head? Oh my! Molly Caroline's hair was huge this week! :)

Loving this three day weekend!

MC's current faves!

She will be 15 months old next week!

Shoes! Her shoes, my shoes, Matt shoes...doesn't matter! She carries them everywhere, stands in them, tries to put them on her feet, and gets so excited when I put them on her! :)

These books are her go to ones right now. It amazes me how I find her everyday sitting in front of her little book nook reading.

Balls. She still loves them! She throws them, roll them. She loves kicking them. She also loves to watch people throw them up and catch them. I love how she turns her hands up to try and catch a ball.

Our shutters. She opens them and closes them constantly!

Stuffed animals. She carries them around with her, be the neck and tucked under her arm. It's the most precious sight!

I just wanted pictures of her favorites!

All about me, a virus, and a fence...

This week was a whirlwind because I only worked 3 1/2 days. That made it a little bit crazy, but also made me realize how teaching part time would be the perfect balance. Not that's it going to ever happen! Monday morning I was greeted by these adorable slippers. My friend Brooke's little boy, Pierson, outgrew them and now they're Molly Caroline's!

We filled all about me bags this week and oh my, they brought in some precious things. I wouldn't mind if Molly Caroline's bag looked like this one day....a UGA hat, a Bible, and ballet slippers.

We also did some basic counting games in math, alphabet games with one of our "monsters" and iPad playing! And yes, they had their ice cream party and sorted and counted gummy bears and sprinkles before they partied!

We got to see some of Matt's family from Missouri this week! They drove from Destin to Tally and met us for dinner at Bella Bella! That was one of the highlights of our week!

Tuesday afternoon when I picked MC up from daycare she seemed fussy, which is so rare! I asked if she had slept and she had both of her naps. When I got home I we took her temp and it was high 102s. It was close to 5 so Matt called the Pediatric center and begged for then to see us then! They were awesome and stayed late! By the time we made it there her temp was mid 103s. Scary! They did bloodwork, a flu test, and her ears, throat, and lungs all looked fine! So she sent us to Archbold to get a chest X-ray. I  immediately called my neighbor who said she was on call and asked if I wanted her to come up to the hospital and do the xray. I said no, and she kindly called to tell her coworkers that we were on our way with the most previous baby girl! Only our hospital has pine needles inside the glass! I remember noticing this as I was checking in the hospital to have Nolly Caroline. :)

I stayed home on Wednesday. MC was busy this day! We did have an appointment and it seemed like her fever might be going down. However it def sky rocketed back up! The ped center is awesome and they called us several times over these few days to check on her and see how her nights were.

Matt took off Thursday. We met back at the Dr after I got off work and they did a urine cath. It was fine.

Friday we both had important meetings scheduled for the morning but Matt was able to reschedule his for the afternoon, so I worked until 11:30. I came home fed her lunch and then forced myself to do lesson plans and work on my class we page while she slept. Thankfully her fever wasn't as high.

Molly Caroline finally had no fever Satirday morning! I got everything clean and changed out and Matt started on the fence outside. We finally got the permit approved!
I'll end this post with the sweetest pic of all! :) I'm so thankful our baby girl is better!
