Shopping, nursery, baby shower, and Christmas pjs!

That about sums up our weekend! Our Entire week has been busy and we didn't get to do our usual grocery run, so Matt took MC with him to Publix to pick up some staples. Such a good husband! He also watched her while I was helping host a shower today but she slept the entire time, so he got to rest and got to be productive too!

I got Molly Caroline some Pre-Christmas treats! I'll probably have a special breakfast for her Dec 1 or the Sunday before and give her the nativity set and antlers. She's already wearing the Jammie's because it is gonna be cold this week!

I worked in the nursery this morning at church and loved it! Being in MC's class is so fun!! I'm pretty sure she loved having her mama too! :)

Our life group hosted a shower for Erin because she's due with her first child in January! Davis Clark was spoiled and it was so much fun! I made these little arrangements via Pinterest. They turned out cute! I was trying to attempt another project but ran out of time!

We may or may not be slowly getting our Christmas out! :) I love it! Got this little tree from trader joes and it smells good!!

And I can't resist this cuddly girl in these jammies. So incredibly precious!

And this. So good!

5 Happy Things on Friday!

1. We are having a low key night. Flannel pjs. Episodes of our favorite shows on Hulu. And I even straightened up and finally unpacked from our weekend!

2. Our climbing girl! She can officially climb on the couch. She's a monkey for sure!

3. Sweet baby girl clothes prizes from my fave labor and delivery nurse and a precious borrowed smock from a teacher friend. It's been worn by a lot of previous babies. I just love clothes that have meaning.

4. Cold enough weather for hats! And my Timehop from a year ago!

5. Turkey's and holiday fun in Kindergarten. Check out these disguises! Also Plantation Wildlife is next weekend! I love this time of year in our town!

Friday nights are my favorite!

Backwards

I kind of feel like I do a lot of things backwards than everyone else. In Junior Service League, after year 2, you can nominate yourself to serve on the board and then the general membership votes and a nominating committee places the board after counting the highest votes and discussion. Almost my entire class chose to do the board immediately. Not me, I just felt like JSL was "not my life". I loved it so much, but I also loved my church and my bible study group and my job.....I didn't want to be too tied down to one thing. However, I continued to serve and was able to volunteer at basically every event!

Shortly after I found out that I was pregnant with MC, I was asked to be the treasurer, which is pretty demanding and a two year commitment. I decided not to do it, because I wanted to be stress free for my pregnancy, and then that Spring was asked to be on the board in another position...which seemed perfect. I LOVE being on the board. And before I was approached about being Vice President this year, I kind of new in my heart that I wanted to do it. I wanted to end my 6 years of service investing and leading 15-20 new girls. Kind of a give back, full circle type thing. I am so thankful I didn't start on on board (most of those girls aren't on it anymore...they are kind of gracefully fading out of league), I'm so
glad I did things backwards.

The provisional class that I'm over is awesome. I mean...my class is my heart. They are such sweet friends, thoughtful and amazing women...brought me supper for weeks when I started back work after I had MC. It's amazing to see how much life has happened since we first started, young and overwhelmed. :) But there is truly something special about the girls in the 14-15 class. We went out to the New Mexican restaurant in town after our general meeting last night and had a blast! They were sad that this will be my last year and just precious in saying that they thought I was perfect as the VP and teaching them and answering ALL their questions. :) I just love getting to know them and love that I get to share my passion for service and fellowship with talented, dedicated women. I'm hoping their experience and friendships will be the biggest blessing in their lives.

"For only in service to others can we find the true joy in living." And Jesus of course. :)

'Tis the Season...a little early!

I definitely am in the holiday spirit already! I may even pull out a tree this weekend! I have no shame in decorating early. This is my favorite time of year! We visited my family in Dublin this weekend! My mom and dad gave me some lamps as an early birthday present. I'm in love!

I also got some new casual plaid napkins and some seasonal soap!

It was overcast and cold this weekend, plus Matt and I spent Saturday Christmas shopping and we even saw a movie in Macon. It was the first movie we've seen since before MC was born...it just felt like Christmas!!

In other news...last week was low key. We voted and played! Our baby also turned 17 months old on Tuesday!

The time change made is soo tired!
I still need to post a Halloween recap!

I just loved this version of this verse. I felt like it applies to me lately. I'm thankful for so many little things. Happy Monday.

16 months!

Molly Caroline does not like sitting or wearing her stickers for these pictures anymore. She immediately tries to peel the sticker off.

Molly Caroline says "hello" and pretends she is on her phone all the time. Remotes, her play phone, my phone, the doorbell. Everything reminds her of a phone.

She still sings her ABC's everyday all day. A lot if times she wakes up in the morning singing them.

She tells you when she wants more, but it's usually like "more...mmmm mmmmm mmmmmmuuuuuuu more"

She immediately says no if asked if she wants to take a bath or go to bed. Some nights that's a huge struggle.

She "rolls it" in the cutest way imaginable when you play patty cake.

She loves the bible book song Matts granny taught her!

Elmo is still her favorite! But she really likes the Sesame Street theme song too. It makes her smile.

She loves playing on our porches. I've just started trusting her with this. She walks to the stairs and says "no" because she knows I don't let her go down them.

She loves the moon and trees. She just loves being outside period.

She loves to color. Especially with Matts highlighters.

She loves to stack blocks, and knock them down.

She lines up all her shapes.

She has just started to love building with her mega blocks instead of taking things I built apart.

She likes to roll cars and things on wheels. She gets in her knees just like a little boy. It's adorable.

She hates baths still/again. Like hates them! I miss the one year we had of her loving them.

She loves dipping her hand down into our big watering can and putting things like bows and flowers in it. :)

She loves balls and throwing them.

She adores wagon rides. She says weee as she rides.

She squeals nonstop when she gets pushed in the swing.

She moves around on her motorcycle toy (really a ride on shopping cart) forwards and backwards.

She loves blankets. Aiden and Anais to be exact. Doesn't matter which one...she has 20 probably. She walks all over dragging one behind her.

She loves a paci in her mouth and one in each hand although she only needs it to sleep and ride on long trips.

She loves milk and is such a great eater. I'm amazed at what she loves!

She started wetting through her diaper at night. Good thing we have so many Jammies and crib sheets. I was changing them nightly. We've since resolved this!

I think she may have a tree but allergy based on eating chicken salad with walnuts in it. I'm checking in to this and hope I'm wrong.

Molly Caroline is the cutest dancer! Worship music, country, kids songs, mariachi music....she loves and dances to it all.

She loves watching videos from South Georgia Ballet. As soon as she hears the nutcracker or any music start she sits down to watch.

I'm sure I'm forgetting a million things.

Molly Caroline, you're a treasure! We are blessed and adore every single second we have with you! We do happy things every night and your daddy and I always have a happy thing about you. We love you the most....our precious gift from God!

15 months!

Around this exact time almost 17 months ago, Kacey came to my room to walk with me from my Mother/Baby room to my Labor and Delivery room so Dr. McCollum could break my water. Gosh how time flies. Seems like yesterday, but feel like forever ago!

Yes, I'm behind, she will be 17 months old next week!

So here are some 15m stats!

Molly Caroline went to her first Georgia game! Go Dawgs!

She met the Cfa cow for the first time and was not a fan! :)

She got her shots and flu shot...weighing in at just barely 23 pounds and 27 inches tall.

She was a flower girl for the first time! She did great but I had to lure her with snacks...Cheerios to be exact!

Her one year molars came in on the bottom! Lots of drool!!

She started copying everything and anything that her friends at daycare do! She loves to run and slam into things, be chased, and jump in her crib now thanks to that! Haha!

She saw me hold a little baby for the first time and it didn't phase her!

She is just easy, content, an awesome sleeper and eater, and plays so well!

She is just all over the place, so curious, and has no fear!

However, she is definitely getting sassy. Her favorite word seems to be no!

We love every single thing about our princess!!

The busy season!

Busy, busy, busy....that's how it will be for the next week or so until we have a few slow weeks of being thankful and rest. Then it's Christmas time! I can't believe it!

Monday we celebrated Blakely's 8th birthday. Our sweet pup is so precious to us. We surprised her with one gift that morning, then played outside and grilled her favorites...steak and shrimp for dinner. And are outside. Then opened presents and sang to her. I know sounds crazy, but she is part of our family. She might be semi spoiled. :)

Tuesday night we attempted pumpkin painting. Molly Caroline wasn't feeling it. I might try again.

Wednesday we had life groups. We had lots of porch playting time before hand. Pumpkins and mums are her new favorite toys!

Thursday I had my formal observation...went great! Although I was tired, I was just craving some fun family time. So we went to a little pumpkin patch where we used to live and went out to eat. So fun!

Tonight we will be cheering on our yellow jackets! It's the last home game already!
