Football, Cinderella, and a Ladybug Party!

Oh how I love the weekends!!!
Saturday morning we put on our red and black and headed downtown to attend two story times! I needed to pick up a gift, so we stopped in Mary Madison first. Then we popped in The Bookshelf for their weekly story time too.

We worked around the house and enjoyed the Georgia game!! How bout them Dawgs! And then Cinderella! Molly Caroline had been mentioning Cinderella every time the preview for the movie came on, so we were excited to watch it with her.

Sunday we headed to Jacksonville for a quick visit to Pottery Barn Kids to check out the beds and scope out potential Christmas gifts, lunch at Maggianos wth our best friends (MC and K were entertained by their fall treats and witch brooms from Nannie Beth) and a lady bug first birthday for Lauren Elizabeth! Such a fun day!

Now we're ready for a low key week and being home on the weekends to worship with our church family.

Georgia, Arkansas and everything in between.

It's been a whirlwind of a two weeks! Matt was out of town in Tampa last week for a sales meeting, so my sweet parents came to stay with me Thursday and Friday night, since I'm such a scaredy cat. They drove 3 hours to stay with their 32 year old baby! ;) They also took Molly Caroline to school, which they loved seeing, took her out to lunch downtown at The Scoop, and spoiled her instead of taking her to our babysitter. After I got home from work, we went downtown and Molly Caroline picked out the "cute" fabric that I'm going to use in her big girl room. She also picked out some green shoes, and then my parents treated just the girls to Mom and Dads. :) Such a fun day! Oh and preparing to be out for two days at the start of a week is no joke!

Saturday morning we headed to Arkansas for our cousins wedding. Molly Caroline was a flower girl! The wedding was on a Sunday night. The 13 hour drive there was not bad at all. We stopped every few hours....my Drs orders. Chick fil a and Target were our two stops of choice. Playgrounds and shopping were the best ways to walk and pass the time!

The wedding was beautiful, the weather was perfect, and Mollly Caroline was trhrilled to be reunited with her cousins! She did great, walked down...and stood by the bride and groom almost the whole time, until she named everyone in her family sitting on the first two rows and came and sat in my lap. She ended up walking back down the aisle too. She also danced the entire reception. We got to spend Saturday night in Missouri with Matt's grandma and then started the dreaded drive home. It was supposed to be 14 hours but took us 20! We got home at 4am Tuesday morning. Molly Caroline  was just over the travel. She wouldn't sleep. My feet were so swollen due to lack of movement. We made one last desperate stop outside of Birmingham at a Walmart after midnight and then forced ourselves to drive the rest of the way. We were sooo thankful to be home!

We've just been playing catch up the rest of this week. Since being back, Molly Caroline only wants to sleep in our bed. So that's a new thing.

We've been picking out scholastic books, playing, and going to Dr appointments. We've been tired! Here's to getting back in our normal routine and getting both Girls rooms finished!

What I'm loving Wednesday

Astronaut Wives. I love the fashion! I love the wives! However it's scary and emotional!

War Room. I haven't even seen it...but we are doing the study in SS. Seeing the clips have sparked my love for Priscilla all over again. We don't have family nearby and we're just not good at getting a babysitter....so we will have to wait until it comes out on dvd.

Making lists. Bow holders, chandeliers, matching outfits, hospital necessities, paint colors, catching up on photo albums and baby books, etc.!!!!!! I just can't quit with the lists!

Pumpkin and apple everything! I so love fall! Bring on the pumpkin patches and Halloween fun!

Fall Clothes, Sparkly Shoes, Shell Point, and Football!

We're up early on Labor Day and I'm packing away all of Molly Caroline's summer clothes. There are always a few transition weeks in September before we start wearing "fall" clothing with acorns, foxes, scarecrows, and pumpkins....and she doesn't have much to choose from. I did pick up two sweet basic dresses from old navy that I love!

Molly Caroline is a shoe girl and loves shoes! She puts on her friends shoes ALL the time! I always feel bad because she has some basic good shoes and not a lot of pretty, fun, cheap shoes. Well that changed this weekend. She found some sparkly silver shoes and we had to get them. I'll keep her brown and red sandals out until October and then transition to closed toe shoes.

We went to Shell Point yesterday afternoon and enjoyed catching crabs, kicking the ball, and watching the birds and boats. It was a big deal that she walked around without shoes on. She is not a fan of walking in sand. If she got too close to the water she would scream oh my goodness! Hahaha

We loved watching Georgia football on Saturday and cheering on our Jackets on Friday night! MC came home with real pom poms, a CFA cow, and a football! She was thrilled!

Matt's been working hard in Molly Carolines big girl room and besides a cookout with our neighbors, that's the only thing on our agenda today.

Goodbye Summer! Bring on Fall!!!
