5 on Friday!

1. Pumpkin Day and Bannister Pumpkin Patch! I told MC we would be having pumpkin day and she was so excited! She had a blast at our first pumpkin patch of the season. She loved holding the bunnies and hearing the moo cow. She picked out pumpkins, thought the sunflowers were pretty, had fun on the hayride, and had a blast bouncing in the bounce house. She even had boiled peanuts for a treat!! We pretty much had to carry her to the car because after two hours she still wasn't ready to leave. She said she liked the baby pumpkins the best. :)

2. Fall Break Fun! We've had the lowest fall break ever, but it's been great! We've had tons of play time, rest time, back porch breakfasts, lunch picnics, and family time.

3. Playroom and Nursery! I have a few things to add to the playroom and it will be complete. Basically, a few framed prints, a little book nook, and art area. I took some pictures of how it looks right now. I took some nursery pictures too, since we are changing it up a little bit in the next week or so. Right now it is overflowing with stuffed animals and books! :)

4. Big Girl Room! We have the walls painted and the bed set up! The windows were fitted for plantation shutters this week! She loves her pink walls and big girl bed and thanks Matt often for painting it!! She also loves jumping on the bed.

5. The Fair! We finally took MC to her first fair! She kept calling it "my fair" and skipped with excitement from ride to ride! She loved it so much! We had the best time!

Big Sister Bag!

I've been thinking about making MC a big sister bag to give her before we leave for the hospital or when she comes to visit...can't decide when. Originally I was going to give her big sister books and a shirt, but she received the books as gifts and I thought maybe some new things to play with would be more fun, since we will be pretty busy at first. I already have a few of these things, but need to order the last few!

She's been begging for this for months. Found this perfect set for a few dollars.

She's also been in love with piggy's and asking for a piggy bank. I like this plush one!

I've had this in the closet for years, just waiting for her to be old enough to enjoy it. I will add it to her bag.

I still need to order baby Stella and her diaper bag.

I've also already ordered her a big sister shirt. I will take a picture of her big sister shirt when it comes in.

A Birthday and Fall Break!

October! Yay...I love this month! Friday was great! Not only did it kick off Fall Break, but I had a dr appointment! My friend Brooke, started a pool at work on when this baby girl will be born. They're betting money and everything. It is so fun to look at everybody's guesses on the November/December calendar. Before my appointment everyone was asking if they thought I would find out some info on being induced or a c section of she stays breech (still thinking and praying that she will be head down at the next ultrasound) etc. I thought no way! I have a late appointment, she's getting ready for her trip. I was prepared for a quick visit.

However my Dr had apparently been looking at the calendar....as soon as she walked in she mentioned that we needed to set a birthday. I was shocked and asked, "today?" She told me the date she was thinking of. I said, YES! A hint...I will be home in time for Thanksgiving. One of her reasons. :) I was squealing at this point and pulling out my calendar to see what day of the week it was. She said a few things depend on how I'm progressing, and as long as my blood pressure stays fine. I was also nervous because I didn't feel her moving much yesterday, but I was also super busy trying to get everything ready for after the break so I could leave a few minutes early. She immediately could hear her moving, found the heartbeat at 145, and said to stop worrying because she was actually watching her move as I layed on the table.

Of course, I could always go into labor on my own before that date too. So we'll see! I'm just excited to know a date to look forward to for now! We went in her office for a bit and then she called labor and delivery at the hospital to make sure she was on call and put it on the books. My sweet labor and delivery nurse, Kacey, answered and told me hey, so I told her to write herself down to work that day too! ;) It's crazy, because I remember her calling the hospital for me to be scheduled for an induction with Molly Caroline. Seems like yesterday.

We've been enjoying pumpkin snacks this week. Lots of pictures from daycare and preschool! Transportation day at school, golf cart riding at home, CFA night for my school, begging for a Minnie chair and pink sheriff Callie hat, reading the same books over and over, and rainy pumpkin playing and back porch picnics with Blakely. We skipped the rainy football game last night and enjoyed family time instead!

I'm so excited and ready to enjoy pretty weather and a break!

30-31 Weeks, Pumpkins, and Pretty Baby Girl Things

In the past week I've had an ultrasound and a regular appointment! I am officially going every two weeks now, although I will go this Friday which is only a week since my last appointment. My Dr is going out of town and she suggested that we just skip to one week so I don't have to see anyone else. I'm so glad she thought of that! ;)!

The ultrasound was great. She is breech yet again. Her head is pushing on my stomach and her bottom is low low low against my bladder and cervix. Both explain a lot. We finally got all the heart pictures needed and they are all normal. Molly Caroline got to see her for the first time, and it was sweet! She kept saying, I'm a big sister! In the ultrasound they said she was measuring a week ahead now, right at 3 pounds and in the 64 percentile. But when I was checked at my appointment, my Dr said I was measuring right on track. I feel great! I just have to kind of walk slow for a split second right after sitting. She is really so low all the time!

I put out all my fall and Halloween decor and MC is in love! More pics to come!

I have one outfit for baby sister to wear in the hospital. MC really wanted to wear the hat! ;)

New Gear and Nursery for Baby Sister

We don't need much for baby sister, thankfully! Pretty much every big thing we have is gender neutral, so it would've been fine for a boy too. And we definitely have some sweet clothing that we will be passing down. She's also gotten several sweet new things already. :)

However I do love all things baby and have come across several new items since having MC...

Covered goods. A nursing cover and car seat cover all in one. I actually never had either with MC.

A Mamaroo. They were out when MC was born but brand new and really expensive. I hear your baby either loves it or hates it.

A new carrier/wrap. I am torn between a Solly and a Tula.

And a splurge. A palmetto pearl bow swaddle from Beaufort Bonnet Company. I had it on my list to get a plantation pink one before Molly Caroline was born and somehow let it slip my mind until she was a few months old. I still regret it.
As far as the nursery goes, all the furniture, curtains, pink ruffled linen bumper, and even the pearl pink ceiling will be the same. However we do have some things to spruce up.

The walls will be painted a pale blue. Probably sweet bluette from BM.

We will add in some love bird and love bird damask fabric/accessories from carousel designs.

A white chandelier.

And a wooden monogram to match the one that Molly Caroline has...in case they ever share a room. Which would be precious to me!

Pumpkin Time!

I've been craving pumpkin everything! I put out two boxes of pumpkins tonight, and picked up a few fun things to give Molly Caroline in October! I've been planning our visits to pumpkin patches too!

I had a Dr appointment this morning, so I took MC to school for the first time on my way. Of course, she cried and kept saying, hold you mama! Broke my heart!

I kept pretty busy at my appointment, list making, reading, and working on her baby book.

Our first matching jammies arrived in the mail! And my parents sent a Georgia gown!

We're getting ready for picture day tomorrow and the first day of fall! Yeah!
