A road trip, a wedding, and the Birmingham zoo

We drove 32 hours round trip last weekend to Missouri for Matt's cousins wedding. MC was a flower girl! We drove straight through on the way there...just left super early in the morning with only two stops. One at target to run around and get a prize for each girl! And another stop at CFA to play! We were able to split it up on the way home with a night in Birmingham. We woke up the next morning and did some shopping in Hoover and spent a few hours at the zoo which was amazing! It is a beautiful drive through the Ozarks!

This was MCs 3rd time to be a flower girl! She did great except she kept talking on stage and then pouted on the steps for a few minutes during the ceremony! Then she danced for hours at the reception!
She loved playing with her cousins! They are her favorites!

The next morning MC was still worn out but AC was a happy girl!

MC always says her favorite animal is a pig! Haha But she also wanted to see alligators, flamingos, monkeys, elephants, "yions", giraffes, and fish! She got to do all of that! She also really liked the swans! She rose the carousel, we all rose the train, she rode on a camel with matt, and she did the slide a few times like a champ! She played in the splash pad too! Such a great time! We want to go back!

School's Out for Summer!!!

I am sooo happy to be out for summer with with my girls! I had to do an extra day of post planning and I went through every cabinet, drawer, notebook, etc. and feel so prepared for next year! I called it my 10 year purge! Of course I'm up at 6am while the rest of my family sleeps! But at least I can finally catch up on blogging!

First and last day of Presschool at TFUMC!

First and last day of Mimi's!

Almost 3!

Molly Caroline will be 3 in one week and is just at the sweetest age!

She is wild! Has so much energy! Is very observant (wonder who she gets that from?)! And she is sweet and loving most of the time. She can also talk back and be sassy...already!

Every day when I pick her up from daycare she runs to me and says "Mommy I missed you!" Then she tells Mimi or her friends, "it's my mommy, she's here!"

She still says I lub you much! That will be wonderful! That's great! Or it'll be perfect! Or oh, I lub that!

She loves to sing and makes up songs every day. They are normally about "Anna Cuh ware " being so sweet or missing my  mommy! I lub her and her lub me is usually somewhere in the song too.

Her vocabulary is huge! I'm constantly asking her who told you that or where did you learn that?

She loves to play outside in our backyard which she calls the garden! She loves to swing, play in her house, and play in sand!

She loved school this year, loves going to church, cfa, the store, the beach, bounce houses, parties, the zoo...pretty much all things! She is my child!

She loves swimsuits and shoes!!!

She has started telling people if they smell good or yucky!

She has also started giving people compliments. Like I love your dress or your hair looks pretty! She told me my earrings were beautiful yesterday! It's so sweet!

She loves reading books!

Her favorite snacks are cold applesauce, white raisens, bananas, and chips!

She eats almost anything we give her. She still won't try corn or peas!

Her favorite shows are Gilmore Girls, Greys, PJ Masks, Ponies, Mickey, Jake, Doc, and Sophia.

She loves dressing up like a princess and watches Frozen over and over!

She loves to take baths with Anna Claire, hold her, feed her, be twins with her, play with her. shes obsessed with her baby sister. She called her "my Anna Claire" and so far hasn't shown one sign of jealously. She wants to hold her hand and make her "file" or smile constantly!

She can make Anna Claire laugh doing the most simple things and she tries to all the time!

She tells us that we're her best friend all the time! Then she adds "you're coming at my party!" We also get uninvited from her birthday from time to time.

She's started walking from her big girl room to ours in the middle of the night and prefers to sleep on some pillows on the floor next to Blakely! She doesn't even wake us up when she comes in!

She talks to Blakely all the time and plays with her! She. Calls her Boo Bear most of the time!

She's one of the silliest girls alive and her belly laugh is contagious!

She really is observant, seems to remember everything, and makes comparisons about things often! Sometimes I can tell what she's gonna say before she does! Like at baby dedication I saw the light in her heads turn on that our pastor and matt had on the some shoes! And she had to tell us right then!

She loves everyone in her family and talks about them often even though we don't get to see them near enough!

I'm sure I'm missing a million things but overall she is just such a joy!

Oh Molly Caroline, I would surely freeze time in an instant! We love you much, P!

That's a wrap...

Another school year has come to an end. This year has been different...October and November were filled with lots of appointments, me preparing to be out on maternity leave, soaking up my time with MC, and anxiously awaiting Anna Claire's arrival. I left my school the Friday before Thanksgiving pregnant and ready to have our baby sister. I missed all of Dec and Jan with my class...which I so enjoyed my winter break with my babies and then went back to work in Februrary as a mommy to 2 girls! That's a lot of transition! I love my school family, but am so excited about summer time with my own family!

We're getting ready for Molly Caroline to turn 3!
Doing a few things around the yard and house...

And just playing and snuggling!

Bring on the summer!

Taking time to stop and smell the roses.

It's rose show weekend and I have a sick Molly Caroline! She started running a fever on Tuesday and is still running one. It's Sunday and her fevers are high...very unusual for her! Her gums are so swollen and she has ulcers in her throat! Yuck!

I've loved getting to stay home and take care of her, even though she feels miserable. However, it's been really hard for me to cancel all of our plans and not continue all our special traditions...but I did.

Over the years I've gotten much better about saying no and slowing down, but I'm still not great at it. It doesn't help that all our family live out of town, so we stay busy traveling to do things with them too! And since it's just us here, our kids do everything with us. We've been going nonstop the last two weekends and we were supposed to go to Atlanta Saturday for frozen on ice. Had to cancel that.We   didn't go to the rose show parade, watch fireworks, go to the rose queen tea, enjoy art in the park, or attend due south. I was most upset about missing her art show at school on Friday! I missed other events to be able to go to that one! So sad!

I was forced to slow down and just enjoy some home time with my little family! And I loved every second! I cut some roses from our yard and smelled those instead of the ones that the garden club displayed. :)

We watched the rosebud parade from our car.

Ate Moonspin to go instead of in person before the parade.

Listened to the fireworks from our house.

And spent lots of time playing dress up, snuggling, hanging out in the yard, and getting caught up on chores.

This morning Matt took Anna Claire to church and I held my feverish MC while she slept. Just cherished the moment.

Oh and we did still get rose cupcakes! It's the one thing MC would eat after a week of applesauce, yogurt, and Popsicles. She requested a cupcake with a flower and sprinkles on it!
