Shut it Down! I die!!

Do you watch The Rachel Zoe Project? It is hands down my favorite show in the world...I think it tops Desperate, and Tori and Dean!

Rachel Zoe could be my favorite person ever and I also really like how Taylor says it like it is. And you know I'm a sucker for celebs and fashion...always have been, always will be.

Gearing up for our big move!

We're really moving I guess....our bank, realtor, and builder assure us!!!!! Wednesday is the big day....so we started "seriously" packing yesterday afternoon after an event I attended for the Junior League. Our house is in shambles! We have lots of things in boxes, but there isn't a lot of room to put those boxes. We have furniture pushed against the walls and we are cleaning out closets, drawers, and cabinets. But, it will all be worth it in the end....after we move I'll have 5 days of fall break to look forward to! Here is some of the chaos!

Just the girls tonight!

So, I'm sitting here, alone, watching the Miss Thomasville pageant on tv....comfy on our king sized bed covered in a sea of damask fabric...alone. Well, technically with my Blakely girl too. Matt is at a business dinner in Valdosta tonight and I feel like I'm in college again. I used to get all ready for bed and go into my room, watch tv and work on schoolwork. I still do that now, but usually Matt is in the other room or in here with me. It feels WEIRD!

Yep, that's our bedding!

I'm preparing for a "presentation" that I have to give to the kindergarten teachers at my school tomorrow. But, I love a good pageant, so that is distracting me. And now it is starting to thunder and so I'm sort of feeling scared. :) In case you didn't know, I'm the biggest scaredy cat/baby in the world about, well...everthing! Haha!

I wonder who will win and get to go to the Miss Georgia Pageant in June???

Emotions + Sunday Night = A bubble bath kind of night!

10 days y'all! That is all that we have left in our current/first house! The memories are beginning to consume my thoughts and as we're packing up and moving on, I'm starting to feel a little bit sad :( I mean, I am also brimming with excitment though. My friend Becky jokes that in the past 6 weeks I have burned a tank of gas a day riding by the new house and checking in all the windows! haha! I don't know...it might be just my emotional side kicking in...on top of a Sunday night (the end to a great weekend, and me not wanting to go back to school). The Fray, Colbie Calliat, and Coldplay may not be helping either :)

Changing the subject. We just had a weekend full of food it seems. We ate dinner at The Red Elephant in north Tally last night and it was awesome! Boiled peanuts for an appetizer and elephant ears for dessert! Matt knows the owner so he gave us lots of free appetizer coupons. I can't wait to go back. I made Matty promise to take me back for a Friday night date...that just sounds fun to me!

Yum! This would be a great dessert for 4 people to share. Grad girls trip anyone?

And How 'bout them DAWGS! What an awesome football game! I was glued to the screen!!

Church was awesome this morning...we are trying to go to early service, and have made it..barely..the past 2 Sundays! After church, we ate brunch at Ruby Tuesday's b/c we had a buy one get one free coupon. It was really yummy! Then we settled in for an early nap at 12 noon! We were up by 1:30 and made a trip to Lowe's for some hardware and then went to an open house at one of our favorite houses...the inside didn't disappoint!

After a wonderful church service!

One of the new solid wood side tables that I got for a STEAL thanks to my bargaining hubby. I changed the hardware to these birdcage oil rubbed bronze ones (my new favorites)! The other table is my very favorite though. I'll post pictures after we move!

Our house is clean and full of boxes right now. 10 days and counting!

DAWGS VS. HOGS

I've been excited about gameday all week long! My two favorite SEC teams! I'm pulling for the Bulldogs of course....I just hope that Arkansas scores once so that I can hear then call those hogs...lol Woooooo Pig Sooie :) But then I want there to be a whole bunch of sic em, woof woof woof too!

I am soooooo excited about our plans for the day! We are going to Tallahassee to furniture "window shop"! Maybe we'll come home with a great find or two, but we're really just pricing things right now.

Then tonight we'll be packing in our Dawg pj's and watching the game! I heart Saturdays!!!!!!

The JSL Provisional Class of 2009-2010

Ok, I realize that I just made 2 back to back posts in less than 2 minutes :) But as soon as I logged off, I had this cute picture in my e-mail!

These are the girls that I will be spending a lot of time with over this year! I can't wait!

So many people were taking pictures at once, that everyone is looking different ways. Oh well, it is still cute! This was at our first provisional social at a clubhouse in town :)

It's just another Manic Monday!

Surprise! Look what I got! Matty surprised me with them last night! He said he loved the bright colors and how they match our kitchen...awww! I am especially fond of the palm frond looking things! :)

There is nothing that I love more than a $5 bouquet of flowers from Wal-Mart or Publix to brighten up our home. I've probably only got them 3 times in the past year, but they just make me so darn happy!

Remember those chrysanthemums I got for Grandparent's day almost a week and a half ago? They are still looking as fresh as ever. Turns out they are the longest lasting cut flowers or something. I googled it b/c I was so impressed that they weren't wilted at all after 7 days.

Now, about Manic Monday...I had a great day at school, got tons of accomplished today...and am already settled in bed for the night at 8:00pm. We ate supper at 5:30, so I still had time to take a bubble bath and read...I really like when my nights feel long. Did I mention it is raining again? I love the soothing sound of it hitting the air conditioner outside of our bedroom...lol :) I really do, maybe I would like to have a tin roof one day. As always, I'm workin' for the weekend!
