Heart Fix

As you know, I've recently finished a wonderful Bible Study with the women's ministry at our church. Me, Myself, and Lies by Jennifer Rothschild. I loved it for several reasons, but the main two were that it really opened my eyes to my self talk and gave me a new perspective on the way that I think about things and lies that I constantly believe. The other thing that I loved that it was a simple study, pointed out some meaningful scriptures, and just refreshed my church spirit(I know that doesn't make sense to most, but to me it makes perfect sense).

Now, I'm on the hunt for a new study to work on until the end of school. I still have just a little bit more to go on So Long Insecurity, and should finish it just in time to see Beth LIVE! I started Breaking Free in college and only got about halfway finished. It is sort of calling my name. I may head on down to RayAnn's after lunch and see about something fresh, that catches my eye though.

I do know that this verse has been screaming out at me the past few days...

My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise! Psalms 57:7
Really all of Psalm 57. That is what I want my new study to be based on I think.

By the way, do you think that I love Beth? I also have Stepping Up on audio in my tahoe. And there could be a few more still in boxes from our move. :) I know it looks like she is the only author that I read, but in reality, I have a lot of other great studies and books that I could recommend too.

Ouch!

I forgot to brush my teeth after lunch, so after a quick stop at a CVS for a new toothbrush, toothpaste, and a bottle of water, I shamelessly brushed my teeth inside of my tahoe, and then proceeded to spit in the parking lot of CVS (by the way I missed and spit all over my running boards...which I washed off using my bottle of water) in front of some worker men. HA! And this was my toothbrush holder. :) This is my favorite kind of toothbrush, it is awesome. Colgate 360.

Found out I had to have a root canal. I never have cavities, so this was a shocker and a bit scary. But I survived :) It was my right side. My lips felt HUGE. One side actually does look swollen. Smiling because I got my 3rd refill of vicoden today. You would think these dentists would worry that I might get addicted. I was loopy from lots of shots and painkillers.

Let's see...lately, I've been to the dentist about 10 times, the oral surgeon once, and now an endodontist. In the next few months, I'll go back to the dentist 2 if not 3 times, go to the oral surgeon again, and probably visit the orthodontist. Do you see where I spend a lot of my free time? :)

When I got home...worn out after power shopping with a numb mouth. I visited Forever 21, Kirklands, and Target in record time. Sadly, I didn't make it to Coton Colors or Loli and the Bean, both were on my list for today too.

And look at the cute spring doughnut from Krispy Kreme. For my loving husband, who forked out a ton of money for me to get this done! :)

Day and Date

Well y'all, our air is still not fixed, luckily it is a lot cooler in our house due to cloud coverage. I stayed around the house yesterday and was pretty productive. I was loading the dishwasher when I noticed something on the counter. Now, I'm using this paragraph to brag on my hubby (who will sometimes read this :)), but he is just the most thoughtful man ever...most of the time. My parents always say that they don't have to worry, because Matt takes such good care of me, and it is true, I'm a bit spoiled in that area. Anyway, at the last minute we made a dentist appt with an endodontist in Tallahassee for me to enjoy on my Spring Break. It's today. And what I saw relates to that. Laying there on my counter are x-rays....of my mouth. Matt pulled them out of a file and stuck them up there so I wouldn't forget to take them and so the endodontist would see what all is wrong with my mouth. I NEVER would've even thought to bring them, or remembered. It was just a little thing that warmed me heart. If you're reading this today, thanks hubby!

We had a date night last night. I wanted to go to Jonah's since the boy in the Last Song's name is Jonah and b/c it takes place at the beach, but I let Matt choose what sounded best to him, and he wanted Beef O Brady's. We ate there and then went on the hunt for Coconut MnM's to take into the theater (they're my favorite) and couldn't find them anywhere. We enjoyed the Last Song soooooo, sooo much! I'd say it's my favorite new movie up there with The Blind Side. I want to get it, but I will not watch the end again. The movie stayed very true to the book, and I think it is better than the book...it is hard to bring a movie to life more than a book can, but I think this movie accomplished that. I cried and cried. I left with no make-up on my face and contemplated wearing my sunnies out of the dark theater. Of course, I knew just about everyone in there. Oh well, they know it touched them too! I told y'all that the previews lied and that it was going to be heart-wrenchingly sad!

I am looking forward to a rainy shopping day in Tallahassee after my appointment this afternoon. I want the pollen to be washed away! Everything is turning so green around here, now we need to get rid of the yellow! I am starting to get excited about SUMMER!! Is it too soon?

Sometimes, you just have to get away with the GIRLS

It's coming!!!! SOON!!!!!

These are my ladies. We go see just about every girly movie out together. They will kill me for posting a few of these pictures. But we always forget to take ones when we're out and all dressed up. I don't even think we have one of the four of us.

Lynn, Becky, and LeAnn at LeAnn's shower last fall.

Becky, me, and Lynn at church one Wednesday night.

Becky and I at the Rose Show..eating supper and watching the parade.

LeAnn and I teaching VBS together a few summers ago.

Lynn and I at a luau!

2 summers ago, we sat in the theater all pretty and dressed up after shared appetizers and drinks at Ruby Tuesday's (It is across the street from our movie theater in our little town) and wathced Sex and the City (the movie) and laughed so hard that we cried. And cried. Then went back to RT afterwards and laughed and talked about the movie and the true meaning of friendship some more! Anyway, we haven't been going to as many movies lately. But we will see this one....talking and planning has already begun. Excitment doesn't even begin to explain how how I feel about this!!!

Here is a picture of Matt and I after I got home from seeing Sex and the City. I wore metallic silver sandals that matched those earrings!!! What a fun memory!

Hanging on

I heard this song for the first time today and it definitely spoke to me and gave me hope and encouragement.

Ecclesiastes 3:1,4
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:
a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.

Home Sweet...

Hollywood!!! On Oxygen...starts back up tonight. They are having a marathon of past episodes and I may or may not have watched them on and off all day on my first day of Spring Break! :)Matt made the comment that he has never met anyone that cries at so many things as I do(happy and sad) and worries as much as I do other than Tori Spelling. Hmmm...is that a compliment? I'll admit it, it's true.

I washed my Honda Accord, Hannah the Inferno, today. :) Did you know I got her when I was 16? I don't think I've washed this car since I've lived in Thomasville (about 4 years), b/c we didn't have a driveway at our old house and I'm not really one to pay someone else to wash it. The Honda is our beach and ball game car. Matt drives his company car everywhere around town and to work and I drive my tahoe, so we have to use the Honda every other chance we get.

I read a little bit outside in a rocker.

An electrician came to fix a light that had fallen out of the ceiling and he lowered my chandelier finally!!

I have had about 6 tervis tumblers full of ice water! Refreshing and probably because it is so HOT inside.

I found a few things in the garage that I completely forgot we owned.

My cool float that we got last year in Aplachicola.

Our racquet ball racquets. I forgot that we owned our own. See them stacked on top of the Prince tennis racket?

And I found my Karen Kingsbury autograph! Haha!!

Two just because pics:
Blakely as the Easter Bunny :) She actually carried her baseball around with her all day today...she must've known that today was opening day at Turner Field! GO BRAVES!

And I had to share my kids Easter plates at school. They had fruit roll-ups, chips, and more cookies and candy that I am saving for snacks next week.

We are going for a stroll around the block, before I settle in to watch me some Tori and Dean and Dancing with the Stars!! Yahoo!!

Happy Easter!!

But God is so rich in mercy and He loved us so much that even though we were dead because of our sins He gave us life when He raised Jesus from the dead. Ephesians 2:4-5

We started off our Easter weekend with my parents coming into town! Our Saturday basically revolved around food (and shopping)! I wanted to make a big Easter lunch on Sunday, but my parents were leaving for Florida, so we had a traditional "Thomasville" lunch on Sat. when they arrived instead. I made fruit salad, "Savannah" Salad (sort of like Savannah Moon's), ordered in The Scoop's chicken salad (best ever), and artichoke dip. We also had Cape Cod chips, and tea. We drink Crystal light tea in our house.

Daddy and Matt did yard work Saturday afternoon, while mama and I visited a few of our favorite stores. I didn't spend ANY money though. She spent enough for both of us :).

My brother came over from Valdosta for supper. We made Logan County Hamburgers, brocolli casserole, and cut up potatoes. Then my brother requested corn casserole at the last minute. After supper, we were sitting around watching the Blind Side when it started seeming too hot in the house. Sure enough, our air is blowing tons of cold air into the attic (we have a leak) and not into the house. Soooo, that would definitely explain our way high bills the last few months (like $400). I just knew it didn't sound right, but Matt assured me that it was because it was so cold and that we didn't know how our new house heated. It was just strange to me because even in the coldest month (Dec.) our bill was not nearly that high, and we never even bumped the heat up. I digress....the ac guy is coming tomorrow! We are however sweltering!! I was planning on making carrot cake for dessert, but we were all way too stuffed.

This morning was kind of hectic, because my parents were leaving at 8:00 to drive to Valdosta to go to church with my brother at Crosspointe, and we were trying to leave for our 8:30 service at church. Thankfully, we all made it. It was a great service. And we had a nice Sunday nap. We wanted a good picture of us in our Easter clothes, but of course never got one. Here are our outtakes. :)

This last picture cracks me up! Matt was tired of taking pictures and said that he was going to make a Jake the bachelor face! HA!

Happy Easter Y'all!!!
