What I'm Loving

this Wednesday...

Weekday date nights! And that there are yogurt shops everywhere you look in Tally now. There is one in way north Tally, only about 20 minutes from Thomasville!

Going to the actual Coton Colors store. I've been waiting for FOREVER to go. Usually I just buy their products at local stores downtown, but we finally had a reason to visit them. They are less than 30 minutes away...I don't know what took so long!

Surprises from hubby! My students will be relieved. They were extremely worried that my second bracelet didn't have many charms at all on it. Funny huh!?

Projects that I have in mind! If only I can complete them all.

Crystal light fruit punch! It is refreshing and sweet.

That my awesome Dr. made Thomasville's 50 under 50 impacting our community. I'm a proud patient! :) She is truly the best Dr. that I have ever been to and I reccommend her to everyone in town. I can't get the picture to load the correct way.

Neutral and Metallic Shoes. Wedding season here I come. :)

THIS VERSE:
Psalm 112:7
They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the LORD.

Y'all this is good...

This is taken from my last night of Beth Moore's study on James. I LOVED this and want to frame it I think.

"With all we've learned and as our series concludes, what now? Will we simply have another study under our belts orwill we have Scripture in our bones? What happens next with us?"

I hope to have a heart filled with faith and expectancy when I ask God for wisdom, knowing that He delights to give it. I hope to resist the magnetic pull of this temporal world to shrink my life into a wilting wildflower in a dying meadow. I want to live for what endures. I want to live for Jesus.

And, Lord help me, I want to persevere in trials, sufferings, and persecutions, and not whine myself into a pathetic lather. For once in my life, I want to know what it's like to count it all joy when I fall into all sorts of difficulty. When deformed desires surface in this flawed heart of mine, I want to rush them to Jesus and request His swift healing. I want to watch my mouth, for crying out loud. Don't you? Our religion is utterly futile if we don't.

I want to keep the poor on my radar at all times and stop protecting myself from the pain and plight of others. Don't you? I want to love my neighbor as myself. I want to live in full expectancy of the glorious return of our Savior Jesus Christ. I want to pray more for the sick. Don't you?

Oh, Jesus, help us. Indwelling Holy Spirit, make us who, without You, we are not. Abba Father, do not let us get away with meaningless living. Rescue us from mirroring the image of this grotesquely disfigured world. Do not let up on us until we've done Your will. As James himself said, help us to "think of how we regard as blessed those who have endured" (5:11). This moment we sit before you dying to live differently. Help our unbelief. Do this through us, Jesus.

-Beth Moore

And there are just a few little statements taken from her last session that I want to remember.

Immunity from community = no ministry

Have the guts to say NO.

It's still a little bit a lot...AMEN!!

Happy Things

Sitting outside on the back porch with candles lit and music playing...Matt was grilling steaks and hitting golf balls with Blakely.

Watching Blakely playing in the woods and then hearing the two boys that live behind us say, "Hey Blakely, come here and play with us." She ran over to them and one pet her and the other hugged her. It was so heartwarming. Then she turned and raced back to our house. I love my sweet golden pup.

Hearing two sweet little girls in their pink barbie jeep riding down our road before I even see them. Their mom walks while they drive their jeep. They always drive it into the weeds and just sit there for awhile. Matty and I love to hear them coming, and always get a good laugh from it!

WATERMELON...already cut from Publix.

Yummy Mayhaw jelly from the Ragan-Shaver wedding.

One wreath down, one to go. I also started on a little sign to put out.

I had mentioned to Matt that I wanted to change the bed around in one of our guest rooms. He was so excited to show me this morning that he had moved it around himself last night to surprise me! He is a good man!

I am still in awe of this song. It means so much to me because of the special lyrics.

Pretty Flowers and Weddings

Matt cut me off some of our knockout roses to put in my little bud vases today! I LOVE the bright pop of color that they bring into our bedroom and guest bath!

I also have the most beautiful arrangement in my dining room right now. My friend, Robin, gave me one of the most gorgeous arrangements ever and I love it so much! It has hydrangeas which are my favorite in it, but it also has bells of ireland, another favorite that I used in my wedding 6 years ago!

I helped her decorate for her son, Kyle's, rehearsal dinner in Bainbridge on Thursday afternoon and evening. Then helped a little bit on Friday before the rehearsal. I also painted some signs to display some of the bride and grooms favorite pictures. The dinner was in an old fire station in Bainbridge. Everything turned out really pretty and the food was awesome! I wanted Kyle and Katie to love it, but I also wanted Robin to feel like it was exactly like she envisioned it! We love the Shaver family and have come to love the Ragan family too. Katie's aunt and uncle were actually our Sunday School teachers when we were newly married and new members of our church. We also love the Rich family! So, I really enjoyed getting to help out!

We celebrated the marriage of Katie and Kyle tonight in Bainbridge. Our new pastor officiated the ceremony at FBC Bainbridge and then the reception was out at Southwind Plantation. It was awesome! I only took a few pictures and didn't get any of the decorations. I may have to "borrow" some to post on here as I see them on Facebook. They were too cute not to share.

It has been a great weekend so far and the best way to start my Spring Break! I'm sooo thankful for a little break! I'm still going to be playing catch up on here for the next few days...oh how I love to blog! :)

Happy weekend, y'all!
