Tonight when I get home from Bible Study, I'll be linking in for the Passion 2013 Live Link @ livelink.268generation.com!!! I am beyond excited! I only wish I was under 26 years old and living in Atlanta!
Also, in November I will be going to A Night of Worship with Passion. We just found out about it last night and we already have it on our calendar. Kristian and Christy will be leading together. Matt is just as excited as I am!!!!
Y'all know that I love to read. I am a huge fan of both fiction and Christian living books. I am usually the first to jump on reading the most popular books that are all the craze. And I read them fast! But this summer, I checked numerous books out from the library and even bought a few (even my favorite authors) and couldn't read. I just couldn't focus.
However, lately there are several books that I have been able to read, slowly but surely and I've loved them. I just read a chapter or two some nights. They focus on choosing joy, keeping your emotions in check, and knowing that you are loved and beautiful in Christ.
I have several books on my fall reading list! I can't wait to get my hands on these. I think they will be amazing reads.
It is 8:30 and I am completely exhausted. In fact, I'm 100% ready for bed.
My clothes are laid out for tomorrow already. Me, and the two teachers next door to me are all wearing matching shirts tomorrow. Yes, we planned to be triplets. Yes, we are all almost 30. Ha!
I had a curriculum planning day today and had so much fun. Is that strange? We have a great group of ladies that I just love! I seriously live for days like today...I feel so refreshed and ready to get back into my classroom and teach my heart out after a little break in the middle of the week. I will say, I missed my precious kids today.
I got made fun of for my pens and case today. I love being a nerd.
Our CCGPS planning group ate lunch at George and Louie's today. Sweet potato fries and diet coke...we were living the dream!
Parenthood came back on last night. Yay! We love it!
We had a Women's event at church last night. Tammie Head was the speaker and she was super cute. Coffee and dessert afterwards was pretty fun too. Oh, and one of my favorite songs by Christy Nockels was sung! I love my church.
Matt and I were at CVS this evening and I flipped my hair over...he said I looked like I belonged in the 80's. So naturally, we took a picture. :)
I might just wear my tortoise watch with my two Pandora bracelets every day this week. It is my new favorite thing.
My support teacher has a birthday tomorrow. I got her some goodies from our class. One thing is an apron. It is really cute and perfect for her.
Whenever I teach about the four seasons, I think about my seasons...some of my best friends. :)
I hope everyone is having a good week!
1 Corinthians 1:30
It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God-that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.
Our small town is serioulsy amazing. We had the coolest art show here this past weekend, called Flaunt. Junior Service League and the Center for the Arts, along with downtown Thomasville teamed together for the event.
There is the neatest thing called yarn bombing and I think it is very cool! Look at these pretty trees in our fun little downtown. Some were sort of themed...the one in front of Sweet Grass Dairy was a cow. The tree in front of a children's boutique was Dr. Seuess themed. And look at the clock!!! I was in awe!
Matt was out of town at the end of this past week at his annual sales meeting. And my parents and Poppy Bill came to visit this weekend. They arrived pretty late, so I made the most of my free time and gave in to my need to go ahead and pull out my fall decorations. Seeing pumpkins around my house makes me pretty happy!
Saturday was a shopping day for us. We ordered invitations, browsed some of our favorite stores, and got a ton of fall decor/important wedding things at Hobby Lobby. It was a cool, rainy day and I LOVED every minute of it!
We ate at Granddaddy's for dinner.
Then settled in to watch the Georgia game. Go Dawgs!
Sunday brought FALL weather which I adore! We had such a good day!
We sat outside on our back porch until late last night and I burned my first fall candle of the season.
Today was a happy day as well. I got a sweet surprise from my husband this afternoon. I have been looking for this book everywhere, and have heard such great reviews about it. I was pretty shocked that he remembered. It made my day!
Bible study also started back tonight. It is always a blessing. I am actually doing Beth Moore's Wising Up for the second time. I can already tell you that I am getting something new and fresh out of it. I am a lot different than I was just 2 and 1/2 years ago when I did it the first time around. I have a whole new perspective now. I'm loving learning about wisdom. It is my 8th Monday night study with this group, and the ladies in the group are a huge blessing to me.
I hope that everyone is having a great Monday. Christy Nockles tweeted this a few weeks ago and it encouraged me so I have to share. I definitely had a super start to my week.
"Monday: another opportunity to celebrate the finished work of Jesus, to find the extraordinary in the ordinary, the glorious in the mundane."
I am a wife, teacher, grad student, and wanna-be mama :) The Lord is my strength in everything and He guides me every step of the way through this crazy, busy time in my life.
