Thank you Christy Nockels!

It's no secret that I love her new album. I love it differently than ones in the past though. There are parts of a song or one phrase that jump out at me in several of the songs that just floor me. They are profound and I love them so much.

From the day that I heard the new album number 1 and 3 were songs that I listened to over and over. They became my morning songs. Songs that I listen to every morning on my way to school as my prayer!

Then I heard this about song 3. Everything is mine in You. I love it even more now!

Back to school we go!

Everyone knows that I don't love the month of August! It's tiring, stressful, and way too hot! At least from a kindergarten teacher's viewpoint.

There are however a few things to look forward to....MC's sweet "back to school" picture that I take yearly, my daddy's birthday, the kids sale, and football starts at the very end of the month. When I showed MC her back to school dress she said, "I want to wear it!"

I've decided this year that I want to get Molly Caroline's big girl room painted and furniture arranged in August. And have a good plan on making the nursery look fresh. I'm re-using MC's pink ruffled linen crib bedding because I still love it, and am just going to add new pillows, sheets, and possibly a crib skirt to make it look new for the baby. Well the fabric swatches came in and I love them! I wanted to make sure the pinks would match!

We spent a long time in Walmart yesterday. We never take long trips like that. All I really have to show for that trip are some school supplies, new jammies for the girls, and toiletries. MC is obsessed with her new tink toothbrush and Doc McStuffins toothpaste! Speaking of doc, I think our girl may love being a Dr for Halloween!

Praying that it's a great August! :)

And just like that...

Another summer, my third summer with my precious sidekick, Molly Caroline, ends.
Here are some of my favorite memories with her:

Waking up and calling for me. And then asking for her paci which is always on the floor by her crib. And then telling me what color blanket she has!

We worked hard on colors this summer, and it paid off. She names the color of everything. :) we started on shapes, she knows some but not all.

I thought we would work on potty training, but we never did. She does ask to sit on it often, and loves telling me she has to go potty. And today, she actually tee teed in it for the first time! She got a blue mnm, but asked for a purple candy. :) guess I need to buy skittles. Maybe we will go for it on fall break. We'll see.

We loved snuggling and watching Disney Jr. In the mornings. Sofia and Doc are her very favorites!

We dropped her morning nap to get ready for preschool. She sometimes gets sleepy still in the mornings, but pushes right through.

I love fixing her breakfast and lunch. We had spontaneous picnics and a few CFA dates too!

She loved coloring, painting, chalk, and play doh this summer!

She loved playing in her pools and with the water hose!

She went to "school" four times to get ready for the fall and did great! I cried every time and stalked the playground. Somehow I figured out their recess time! ;) But she knows and can recognize her school, even at night!

We took a few shopping trips, and she "helped" me in my classroom!

We celebrated her birthday, a lot of friends birthdays, and took a week long beach trip!

We played golf in the evenings, played in the sprinkler, went on walks, practiced driving her mini golf cart, and had golf cart races in the street.

We read tons of books and jumped on the bed a lot too! ;)

She accompanied me to several dr appointments.

Her famous words or phrases this summer were, "c'mon, are you ready?, do it again, I lut you mama, I missed you, I'm hungry, let's eat, I want my potty, I'm excited, I got my banket, where's daddy? At work, time for your checkup, that's so pretty, I want my suit!, I want grapes, that's my mook, that's mine or that's Molly's, i sorry, I want my poooool, ohhh tayyy, and many more things that I'm forgetting. She is just precious, innocent, and couldn't love us more. She thinks the world of her family and I never want it to change!

We found out that she was going to have a little sister!

Overall, it's just been so special and I'm so grateful and thankful for every break that I get off with her. It will be different next summer because we'll have sister by our sides too! I just can't wait!

It's a...

GIRL! We are seriously tickled pink to be having another precious baby girl! And Molly Caroline gets to have a sister! And I get to reuse sweet, special baby clothes. We are just thankful!

Our ultrasound and anatomy scan went well. Baby girl was moving all over the place at first and immediately, Christy said "you have yourselves another baby girl!" You know I don't believe that easily, but as she moved, she would say, yep it's definitely a girl. She said that several times, so I feel better about that and semi-trust her! Haha We were able to see  the limbs, feet, brain, spine, face, and all the organs except for the heart. Near the end of the ultrasound, our baby girl went to sleep. She was laying transverse on her tummy and would not budge. And Christy was majorly shaking my belly, trying to wake her up. So she couldn't get the pictures that she needed of her heart. Of course, that's a little nerve wracking, but it does mean we get to have another ultrasound in a few weeks! I'm already ready to see her again.

We didn't take Molly Caroline with us like we had originally planned. Thankfully, my parents came into town, so they were able to keep her. She has just started saying "I'm scared!" And gets scared at unfamiliar dark places (The Little Mermaid and my classroom at school)  I didn't want to risk her screaming throughout the ultrasound or Matt having to take her out and miss part of the ultrasound. We ended up purchasing a little stuffed animal, and they recorded the heart beat and put it in the toy. That was special.

This picture was on the way to the appointment! I was nervous, Matt said he wasn't. :)

After the ultrasound, they decided to squeeze me in for a regular appointment. My original appointment was for later that day, but my Dr was wanting to leave early, so it just worked out! However, since we had just seen the baby and listened to her heart, we just sat in chairs and talked. I was able to tell her what I was having and we discussed baby names, the possibility of 3 children (which  we would love but who knows) how she always wanted 3, my next appointment and ultrasound, the glucose test coming up, and how she wouldn't go anywhere in November. ;) This will most likely be a Novemeber baby and she said if she does go somewhere she will just induce me. Eek. :( She also is praying that I will get an epidural this time. She certainly believes in pain management! ;) I told her maybe. I know I can do it without and since I had such a good induction last time, and amazing delivery and recovery without one, I hate to get one this time. At the same time, the thought of having pitocin full blast, ALL day again, is horrifying and 100 percent makes me want one. I will probably sign up again at least. I'm truly just praying for a quick and healthy labor and delivery this time!

TWO

June 4th is such a happy, special day for us! I set everything up before I go to bed, since I have an early riser...birthday plate for pancakes, balloons, and a few little gifts!

We started out the morning singing! She loved it!

Our birthday flowers sure looked pretty!

I got some sweet snuggles!

Then we had a birthday snack and sang again! Auntie M sent this cupcake and candle!

After pizza (picked by the birthday girl) for supper we hAd one more traditional celebration and played outside on her new golf cart!

What a happy day! It's so hard to believe that we have a two year old! We are so blessed by our sweet baby girl!

Currently...

Working on a few house projects...painting Matt's office and hanging curtains in our dining room and bedroom.

Writing down all my appointments and upcoming school obligations!

Reading Beach Town on my Kindle and working on my Bible Study.

Spending most of our days outside!

Drinking tons of water!

️Planning a simple gender reveal for next week. I need to change the month on the stork to November! :)

Peaches, The Little Mermaid, and Fireworks!

We had a busy few days leading up to the fourth. Tuesday we had a playdate, Wednesday Molly Caroline had school, then Thursday we ate the best Mexican at Coyoacan with our best friends, then finished our night off with peach and blueberry ice cream!

Molly Caroline loved swinging and jumping in the puddles! I sure loved the blueberry ice cream!

Friday night we had supper at Jenns house, then took Molly Caroline to see her first play put on by Peach State Summer Theatre at VSU! It was soooo good! Molly Caroline was so excited to go, screamed out with excitement "there's s mermaid" several times during Ariels first solo ;), then got scared and wanted to go outside. Matt was so good and patient and tried to get to come back in....because she loves singing and dancing, but she was over it. Instead they had a daddy/daughter date...they shared a CFA milkshake and read books at the bookstore. We let her pick out the Little Mermaid book afterwards. I guess we'll try again next year.

We had a rainy fourth in Georgia but had such a good day! We grilled at our house with our friends, then the guys shot off fireworks in the street. Molly Caroline loved the "fire"! After that, we headed downtown and had the absolute best spot to watch the fireworks! They were right above us, huge, pretty, and loud. Poor MC was not a fan this year, but did love her glow treats from Nanny Beth!

Sweet hubs had ice cold bottle cokes waiting in the car afterwards! Our town puts on cute downtown activities on the fourth...yard games, live music, Uncle Sam, face painting, clowns, free jumping at Leap Frogz etc. I'm hoping to get down there much earlier next year.

Sunday we drove to Atlanta for the day to celebrate our nephew turning 8! MollyCaroline  had a blast playing and swimming with her cousins!
