It has happened...

sUv...I need to stop unnecessary volunteering...hahaha! I got this saying from my friend Ashley tonight at Junior Service League.

It really is like a sickness. I stand hovering over the table of endless sign up sheets and just can't stop signing my name. I have my planner out, calculating times and adding up hours. Filling up any time that I feel needs to be filled. I really do have to force myself to set the pen down.

I love to volunteer my time for JSL, I really do. Serving others is a passion of mine. I just need to balance it a little better, and also give myself time to enjoy the events that we sponser and help out with.

After my meeting I went to Wal-Mart....to pick up a few things that I needed for our Veteran's Day Parade tomorrow. AND...Hello Christmas! Instantly I was feeling overwhelmed thinking about decorating, Christmas parties and events, gift swaps, Christmas shopping, and about buying supplies to make ornaments with my class, etc. What about Thanksgiving? :)

I just had to get my thoughts down, I actually had a wonderful weekend and am having a great week so far! Thankfully, I do not have school Thursday or Friday, so I'll get a chance to be back on a normal blogging routine then. I miss blogging consistently!

Now, I about to finish up some work then enjoy what is left of my night. There is nothing I love more on a cold night than a bubble bath and time spent with the Lord. Having a hubby and sweet golden to snuggle with under warm blankets is great too!

I'm needing to pray these scriptures tonight. I'm very thankful for my REFUGE!

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
1 Peter 5:7

As for God, his way is perfect: The LORD’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.
2 Samuel 22:31
