Can you smell the roses?
Everything's coming up roses here in Thomasville this weekend...
Last night we set up our chairs along the bricks and under the oaks of pretty Broad Street for the Rose Show Parade. (I missed the children's parade, The Rose Bud Parade, Thursday night because of class :() We sat with our friends the Billingsley's. My friend, Becky, sat on the other side of me. And of course you see EVERYONE there. It is really so much fun. The sun goes down during the parade and the breeze always feels wonderful! Listening to the TCCHS band and seeing the Rose Queen are always my favorite parts! I did love getting to see Anna and Abby on the Y float...what cute twirlers! We went and ate with the Jense's afterwards at Beef O'Brady's! We decided to skip the Swinging Medallions and the Street Dance this year. I for one, was really tired! The good thing is that we could hear them from our front porch when we got home! I loved relaxing at my house and getting to hear good live music!
I'm excited about just being home this weekend. I have a long list of things to do, but plan on reading and relxing in between! Thankful for the weekend!

He is my hope unshakeable
I just have to share this song. I had an appointment last Friday morning, and it just didn't go like I expected it to go. I left feeling very overwhelmed with a LOT of emotions, questions, etc. I have been listening to Chris Tomlin's cd, And if our God is for us, for awhile now, but I'd never really listened to the song that came on my cd player as soon as I turned my car on immediately after my appointment.
The words were exactly what I needed to hear right then. As soon as I got home, I made Matt listen to the beginning of the song (my favorite part). So, right now that is the song that is on replay at our house right now!
The name of Jesus is a refuge
A shelter from the storm, a help to those who call
The name of Jesus is a fortress
A saving place to run, a hope unshakeable
When we fall You are the Savior, when we call You are the answer
There is power in Your name, there is power in Your name
If you have a minute, listen to the song. It's great!
Happy almost Friday!!!
WE ARE YOUNG...
so let's set the world on fire....That was the theme song of Bridgett's Beach Bachelorette Weekend!
We had a blast in Carillon Beach! I loved that little beach right outside of Panama City. However, I loved getting to drive by Sea Crest, Seaside, and Grayton too! Other than the lowcountry, that has to be my favorite stretch of beaches on the gulf. Laying out on the beach for a few hours on Sunday was good for my soul, even though the wind was sooooo, so strong.
One of my favorite parts of the weekend was giving Bridgett her "4 seasons" gift! She was so surprised to open her present and find a pair of pajamas/lingerie for every season along with a quote!! I also loved all the girl talk. We had a great time and I'm excited about her wedding in June!
Maybe I'll get to post more pictures soon! I am worn out after a field trip to Chehaw in Albany today, and a big test in class tonight. I'm very excited about kicking off the Rose Show weekend tomorrow night with good friends, a parade, and street dance!

Living in a Rose Town...
There are roses everywhere and I love it! I'm very excited about the Rose Show next week!
Yesterday a group of teacher friends and I pre-walked the Rose City Walk....So FUN and the hills were just a little bit tiring! :) I love our pretty rose town!

I am so thankful for my hardworking, cute, hubby! He wouldn't wear his orange and blue tie that I got him for weeks..but he had it on today and said that he has been getting tons of compliments on it. :)

This made me happy today too!

Did y'all go to Sonic today? We definitely did!

I have some recent favorites...
Lip Butter (thanks Carrie Beth and Jennifer)

My metalic woven purse from my sweet parents!

Fresh veggies!!!

Wearing my gold bangles every single day.

This song and that it is live. I love these lyrics.
And my life will burn for YOU!
Because your light shined in the darkness, I was hopeless...
and you lifted up my head, to sing for JOY!
...You are Wonderful!

Fantastic Friday
I am so happy that it is Friday! I had the busiest Thursday ever and I am ready for a fun weekend! I'm also officially about to be on the summer countdown. 30 days until SUMMER VACATION! (Yes, I count post-planning as Summer)
We took this picture after I got out of class and were on our way to my school's Dairy Queen Night.
Happy Friday Y'all!
Psalm 105:4
Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his peace continually!
Colossians 3:23
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men...

Feels like Spring
We have had the most beautiful south GA weather the past few days...it has actually felt like Spring and I love it! We have been spending ALL of our time outside, hitting golf balls, taking long neighborhood walks, and anticipating hearing the sweet barbie jeep that is SO loud with sweet sisters riding in it (today they called out to Blakely, where is our favorite puppy? :)!!!)

I missed my last JSL meeting of the year to watch Christy Nockels sing songs from Into the Glorious LIVE (I know I'm such a bad leage member...but really we had no new business to go over and I've actually never missed a regular league meeting for the last 3 years)! She also talked about the meaning of each song, which I adore hearing about! I always look up the meaning of my favorite songs...or try to find what they are about. I will say that I do love JSL and so enjoy volunteering with such wonderful, dedicated women. I am especially excited about next year and the various things that I'm going to be serving on.

Well, y'all. There is nothing else new except that I am exhausted. I have been working late every day this week, trying to get ahead. There is so much going on this Spring with field trips, conferences, end of year testing, The Rose Show and Parade, Relay for Life, graduation....and the list goes on and on and on! Needless to say, I am excited about Dance Moms and my bed tonight!
I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry.
Psalm 40:1

Alive! Alive!
Hallelujah, Risen Lord

The only One I fall before

I am His because He is ALIVE!

We had a wonderfully meaningful and relaxing Easter Sunday. We wish we could have spent the day with our families (I'd give anything to live close to them), but we love celebrating with our church family too. We woke up and gave Blakely her purple stuffed bunny that was in her Easter basket. Then went to Sunday School and Church. We ate Easter lunch at home and then took a glorious nap. We spent late afternoon and early evening outside enjoying the beautiful weather and watching the Masters. We like Buddy Watson and were glad to see him win! I am glad that I worked really hard yesterday to finish my lesson plans and all of my gifted assignments, because today was just what I needed to end my Spring Break week!
I am so thankful for my Risen Savior!!!! This song is one of my favorites right now.

Lots of pretty pastels..
I LOVE Easter, but do not have many decorations for Easter at all. This year I shifted things around in my house and created several natural displays using eggs, moss, baskets, nests, and birds. You might see a bunny here or there. I would love a moss bunny with a big pastel bow. :)

I actually got my first Easter hand towels this year. I usually just put out some grass green and white ones that I have.
