So far this summer...

My friends and I have deemed this summer as the summer of simplicity. We try our best not to fix our hair, make-up, and only wear soft tank tops, tees, and shorts. Everything is simple, fast, and easy. Sounds great, doesn't it?

We are obsessed with Target's boyfriend tee's. If you don't have one, you need one...or every color. :)

I spend the majority of my days outside. Each evening I park myself on our back porch and watch Matt hit golf balls to Blakely. I love this view!

I am also loving summertime walks. I love how everyone in our neighborhood is out and about. It really feels great in the early morning/evening. I love where we live!

I am loving Barberito's salsa. So good! I could drink it.

We are making list after list of things to do in Charleston later this summer. It is a mighty long list.

You will find these on my feet most days. I call them my anniversary shoes.

Orange, coral, yellow, and mint green are my favorite colors this summer. However, I am seeing lots of navy, red, and royal lately.

I have a big stack of books to read from the library, but can't concentrate to read them. This is a first.

Christy Nockels' album Into the Glorious refreshes my soul every single time I listen to it. And that's a lot.

I have a new show addiction on Netflix this summer. Pretty Little Liars. I am now hooked on that and Smash.

Have y'all heard of #shereadstruth? After hearing about it, I finally joined today. Just in time to start the new series, Living the Surrendered Life. Although, I feel that I really need to go back and start Soul Detox first. My soul could use it I think.

We are in the planning stages for my brother's rehearsal dinner in October. It is getting me super excited about Fall!

I sort of want to move to Atlanta. Yes, you read that right. This small town loving girl, who said that she would NEVER even live near Atlanta, just wrote that. I don't know...it just seems exciting. :)

Statement jewelery. For the few times I do get dressed up this summer.

These verses have been stuck in my mind lately.
Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lamentations 2:19

The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him. Nahum 1:7

First off, i think we would be great friends in real life! Secondly, i just discovered target's boyfriend tees & love them. Since i am going on day 3 of no make-up & wearing shorts & tees(thanks to the fact i am working on the final details of our upcoming July 4th event) i completely understand the summer of simplicity.

Oh Nicole! You are speaking my language. I'm feeling a tad obsessed with mint green at the moment. And as for salsa, let's just say if it came in an IV...

I read the Glass Castle and it is SO GOOD. The subject matter is a little heavy but I highly recommend it! Sounds like you are in for a good summer!!

Thanks Charlotte, I'm more excited to read it now! I didn't mention that I also love chevron and I noticed that you do too!

Maggi-Don't you live in Marietta? My sister in law just moved right off the square. I was trying to explain to her that one of my favorite bloggers was in charge of all the fun events there. (I think I remember that from green magsterpie?).

Glad you understand the summer of simplicity too!
