Oh yeah...

I got an iPhone!!! To all my friends, I can finally be in contact with everyone again! I haven't had a phone since July when my crackberry died. I have been using Matt's free phone, with his phone number and none of my contacts, and it definitely isn't a smart phone. I'm very happy and very thankful! My only two requirements for a phone were 1. good camera 2. speaker phone, and look what I got...wow! I never would've thought! Thanks hubby!

Pink Glove Dance. Obsessed.

I didn't even know about this until the last home VSU football game. A group danced at halftime. I was in awe and got teary eyed for sure. I guess that sparked my interest...which has now turned into a full blown obsession.

I wish I would've known about this. I could see my school participating and our medical community...specifically the Shaw Center. You know..."Think Pink Think Shaw".

I've spent a few hours reading about this and watching video clips of the dancers. Each time I cry harder and harder...HA! I think it is just the women (and men) dancing together for such a good cause. Acting crazy and supporting the survivors and people battling breast cancer today.

I like lots of the videos, some of the best are from big hospitals. This video from an orthopedic clinic in Athens, GA reminds me of the staff at the Shaw Center and I like that they are Georgian's. It also makes me think of Matt, as he goes into clinics like these each day.

Y'all go watch!!!

Priscilla Shirer X 2

Let me start off by saying how much I heart Priscilla Shirer. She speaks the truth with such clarity and energy. Love her! I get to hear her speak tonight on abundant living in Bible Study....and I can't wait!

Well, I also heard her last night on the radio as we were driving home from Valdosta. She pretty much rocked my world with a few simple "resolutions" that she stated from her new book. If you've seen the movie, Courageous, it follows along with that theme. She basically wrote 13 resolutions for women and she shared them last night.

The first one she shared she said was the hardest one to do (I agree!) and that it was for everyone...single, married, moms. I NEEDED to hear it. Hands down, it is what I struggle with most these days. I wish she would do a whole study on this. I would be the first to sign up!

1. A Resolution To Be Content. I do solemnly resolve to embrace my current season of life, and will maximize my time in it. I will resist the urge to hurry through or circumvent any portion of my journey but will live with a spirit of contentment.

She mentioned several scenarios that went along with this resolution...wanting to get married, struggling to get pregnant, being a mother to young children, etc.

The other one was equally perfect for me to hear. She actually elaborated on both resolutions, but I wouldn't do them justice. So, I'm simply going to state them and add a sentence or two. :)

5. A Resolution To Devote My Best to God’s Priorities For Me. I will seek to devote the best of myself, my time, and my talents to the primary roles the Lord has entrusted to me in this phase of my life.

She spoke about overcommittment and perfectionism. We, as women, think that everything that we give or do has to be perfect and our schedules have to be filled to capacity, leaving us overwhelmed and exhausted. Basically, don't stretch yourself too thin. But instead just choose a few priorities and give your all and do your best for the Lord to just a few things. Simple, yet hard to say "no" or give things up. In my case anyway. :)

I'm enjoying my last day of Fall Break being lazy, doing laundry, and entering in report card grades. It is gloomy and windy out...feels like Halloween! :)
Romans 8:28 (The Message)
Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God's Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.

Fall Projects, a GILVER pumpkin, and Home!

Matty, Blakely, and I spent the weekend in my hometown up in middle GA visiting my parents. SO relaxing and fun!

Mama and I went on a bit of a shopping spree. :) We are very into Halloween this year. Normally, we mainly focus on natural fall decor. Here are some of Mama's new decorations.

She also got this stylish purse.

And got me several goodies too. :)

My favorite purchase might just be this GILVER (gold and silver mixed) pumpkin. Gilver is my favorite color (and Rachel Zoe's! Ha!).

We got crafty too...Pinterest inspired us yet again. We are going to make an orange one at Thanksgiving but we will probably try fabric for the letters.

We love the way that they turned out!

We had some leftover materials and re-used some frames to come up with these!

Daddy made pancakes for breakast and was mixing a little too fast. :)

If you look really closely at this picture you will see Ginger sleeping in our yard. She is such a sweet pup!

Both girls are such good dogs.

I love being home so much and miss my family each and every day!

I drove home so Matt could complete paperwork. We met Matt's dad in Valdosta for frozen yogurt, which was so good and a good way to break up our trip!

A lil' bit of...

golf in the FALL. We played golf at Stone Creek over in Valdosta earlier this week. It was very windy, but felt fabulous and we had the best time. Am I the only one who gets squeamish on golf card rides? Matt drives way too fast and reckless. Anyway, it was late in the afternoon and oh so peaceful and just rejuvenating. I'll admit I love playing in golfing communities because I can "spy" on everyone that lives there. I was sort of sad that more people didn't have their windows open or weren't outside. :)

Something about this weather...

makes me blast country music. I do wish I was at Luke Bryan's farm tour in Valdosta this evening!

Then I get the urge to either wear my cowboy boots OR a scarf and cute flats. Anyone else? Haha!!

Pumpkins, Pinecones, and Pretty Weather...OH MY! :)

What a wonderful weekend we have had! We went and saw Courageous on Friday night with some friends! It was really good, and a tear jerker. I love that it is filmed in Albany...because we are familiar with where everything is. Also, we have been in the church that it was filmed at...I sat in the seats and Matt sang in the choir loft.

Saturday morning I finally got all of my pumpkins and fall decor out! I love adding just a few things to our collection each year. My favorite decoration is the pumpkin that we got last year (we call it a flumpkin...because it is a flat pumpkin). :)

Our friends, the Radford's, came to Thomasville for the weekend. So we spent Saturday shopping, house hunting, and laughing. It was the perfect day to be downtown, cool breeze, sunshine, moss swaying, leaves falling, all the doors of every shop open wide, and tons of people enjoying their day out on the bricks...it just thrilled my soul! I got a pinecone candle that I have wanted for a few years for only $2!! However, I did not get the number 1 thing on my wish list, deer antlers. I didn't get any good pictures from the weekend because my camera was dead and my phone memory card was full.

Other happies from this week...
After church with my hubby (who didn't think I'd put this picture up) :)

Amy came to visit at school this week! Love her!

We finished our sub-population group presentation on Thursday! I think that it went great! Another group also had a great presentation. We all got these as our take home item. Fun times and the 1st class is now complete!! :)
