Because as Luke Bryan sings, "Start washin' all our worries down the drain. Rain is a good thing. Yea where I come from, rain is a good thing."
I am ready for the rain to wash away my worries and my sickness too. :) I am FINALLY feeling better. I am taking penicillin and vicodin on a semi-decent schedule. So hopefully that is helping. I missed my League meetings tonight. I am so sad, we were going to sign up for committees tonight, so hopefully some that I want to serve on will still be available. My body literally hurts from being in bed for so long. This side table/tv tray was my companion over the last few days.
We needed something easy and fast to make for supper tonight. And we are running very low on groceries since we were out of town this weekend and I haven't really felt like getting out. So it needed to be something with basic ingredients. I looked up "french toast casserole" out of the blue, a simple version that you bake and eat quickly...unlike Paula Deen's and a few others that I saw. I also just used whole wheat sandwich bread, since that is what we had. It turned out great!!
I guess we were feeling sentimental tonight and decided to use our trusty BRIDE and GROOM Tervis tumblers! Ha!
I am ready to get back into the swing of things tomorrow. Thank you, Jesus!
Psalm 18:20-24 (The Message)
God made my life complete when I placed all the pieces before him. When I got my act together, he gave me a fresh start. Now I'm alert to God's ways; I don't take God for granted. Every day I review the ways he works; I try not to miss a trick. I feel put back together, and I'm watching my step. God rewrote the text of my life when I opened the book of my heart to his eyes.
