Tuesday Thoughts

Well y'all, this might be the most random post that I've ever written. I had almost 3 hours in a dental chair to sit and ponder things. :) Sure, I watched CMT and HGTV while my mouth was being worked on, and chatted with some fun ladies at A Confident Smile when my jaw was allowed to rest. :) But mostly I just thought about all kinds of things.

By now, you know I love my dentist/all of her employees. If you get bored, they have a facebook page...just type in A Confident Smile. :)

I was pleased to know that they thought I bleach my teeth. I wish! They said that they could definitely tell that I don't drink much coffee or smoke. So that made me feel good. I got the lightest colored crown. If you have to get a crown, you at least want it to be the lightest shade I think.

I had to take a pic of my numb mouth using self timer (which I just learned how to do). I had 3 shots and it really affected my speech. I was slurring and looking very goofy, talking to people on the way out. It didn't wear off until after 5 hours. Crazy huh?

Matt made us scrambled eggs and pancakes for supper. "Soft food." It was really good though.

We FINALLY put up our blinds in our bathrooms. Woo Hoo! Privacy!

I'm dreading unpacking, yet again. I wish my bags could unpack themselves.

We have been having thunderstorms every afternoon. So, Blakely, and I sit out on the front porch for entertainment. I usually have a book with me.

Look what I now have!! A surprise from my hubby, before I could even think about going to the store to get it!!

And just some cute pictures of Blakely lately. She is so spoiled that it is unreal. She is the best dog and I love her so!

I thought I'd complete this random post with this:
If I were given the opportunity to give a gift to the next generation, it would be the ability for each individual to learn to laugh at himself.
~ Charles Schulz

I got this inspirational quote from my Principal in an e-mail the other day. I can honestly say that I think my kids learned this from me this year. I would just die laughing every morning because without fail, I would drop something, knock something off of my board, or hit what was on my chart in the middle of my lesson...every single morning (or at least most). We would all laugh, and say that it wasn't "Circle Time" without me being clumsy!! Haha! We laughed off a lot of tense moments and sad moments. We learned that things aren't as serious as they feel in the moment. And boy did we laugh hard! Loved my 09-10 class!!
