First, I just changed a bunch of pictures out in frames...I needed a few updated pictures. I also spray painted some of my frames to give them a new look. I had the brilliant idea to make a chalkboard frame...I still love the idea but it didn't work out, the texture wasn't right. I will be doing that soon though. :)
I made a new chalkboard for our Pickin' Shed upstairs. LOVE the saying on it that I adapted from Pinterest.
Finally, after a year of wanting to do this. I got it done. I wrote out the words to the most meaningful song that was sung at our wedding. It is one of our favorite songs from Passion Hymns, Chris Tomlin and Christy Nockels sing it. Two of our best friends sang the song at our wedding before Matt and I walked in, to set the tone for our wedding and to remind us how we wanted to live our lives...completely surrendered to Jesus. It has a LOT of lyrics...so I had to write small. Good thing I love a lot of lryics. We are really happy with the way it turned out.
Our other favorite project is our picture timeline. I knew I wanted to put five black frames (I already had them, they just needed painted) above our red couch upstairs, and I knew I wanted them to have photos of places in Valdosta that were important to us, since that is where we met, got engaged, and still visit often to support our Blazers. We ended up choosing the VSU front lawn and fountain, the BSU, Northside, The Bistro, and then Bazemore-Hyder Stadium.
We spent a lot of time around that fountain and I am thankful that we both picked VSU, we officially met through the BSU...at a flag football game and then were chosen to work at a youth conference in TN, we were very involved in Northside Baptist throughout our dating and engaged years and both worked there, The Bistro was our favorite restaurant to go to on a romantic date or with all of our different groups of friends...it was simpy the best, and Matt's mom, Mrs. Debbie designed the logo, which made it even more special. We ate there the night we got engaged in fact. The stadium. We love it. We love tailgating outside of it. It is where we go back to with friends and will one day "hopefully" take our children. So bascially our timeline doesn't end. :) I'm also going to frame pictures of the business school and the college of education, plus a few other meaningful Valdosta places too.
Hope everyone is having a great long weekend!!!
