A Bulldog Wedding and a little Stanfill.

I am enjoying a lazy Sunday afternoon. My in-laws are napping on our living room sofa and I am doing a whole lot of nothing. Matty Matt is golfing with some guys at Country Oaks.

We attended a sweet wedding last night. Amanda Eanes tied the knot! The Eanes' are family friends of the Whelans and Ms. Anne was Mike's secretary over at the BSU. We went to church with them and I knew Ms. Anne before Matt and I ever started dating. Amanda is the youngest daughter and was finishing up high school when I was starting college, so I got to know her pretty well. I remember spending the night in her bedroom that was full of pandas...random I know. Plus, I practically lived at their house because Ms. Anne was my Bible Study leader and a great friend/role model to all of us. Amanda is finishing up PA school and her new husband (who Matt swears is related to my family..ha) seems like a super nice guy. They both graduated from UGA so of course they had lots of Bulldog spirit! It was really great to catch up with so many amazing friends from Northside (the church we attended in Valdosta) and the BSU.
Matty filled up several bags at the recption. Haha!
I haven't been inside FBC Valdosta in awhile. I forgot how beautiful it is. LOVE the lanterns!
I also loved her music choices!!!
I loved getting to chat with Kari and Clarissa...two of my very favorites from my freshman year! And of course, Ms. Anne!
We made it to the Valdosta Country Club in record time. So we had a few minutes to take a picture!
I borrowed this adorable picture from their photographer, AnnaK.

Today was neat as well. Matt's dad, Mike, is really good friends with our Pastor. He was even in his wedding as a groomsmen. So, Marty asked him to preach today since he and his family are on vacation. Not only did Mike preach, but Matt sang. I love when Matt sings and plays the guitar at church...because he loves it. I am his "song coach" and we always brainstorm lots of different songs to try and bring something new and fresh to our church. Matt was convinced that he wanted to sing a Christy Nockles song, but ended up choosing Kristian Stanfill's song, Day after Day. One of our favorites. Kristian and Christy actually sang this song the first time we visited Passion City Church and the lyrics immediately stuck out to both of us. LOVE them! Our prayer is that the song ministered to someone in the congregation today. My hubby did a fantastic job! I was very proud of both Whelan men. :)
We took this after a quick lunch at Firehouse.

Here's the song Matt sang, if you don't know it.

Day after day our God is reigning
He's never shaken, my hope is in the Lord
Time after time our God is faithful
Trustworthy Savior, my hope is in the Lord
