Christmas in July

Well, it started with Easter in July at Passion City Church. I was dead set on going...I just wasn't planning on it being today, I thought it was going to be near the end of July. I just knew in my heart that Christy Nockels would be leading worship and I was SO EXCITED! Last night I found out for sure that she would be leading worship. I was crushed because it would be crazy for us to drive all the way to Atlanta for the day...but I still wanted to go.

Late last night I was looking up Passion City Church videos on Youtube to get my fill, when I stumbled across this gem! Christy reading some scripture and Chris Tomlin singing Joy to the World (Unspeakable Joy), one of my favorites. It made me very happy!

Surprisingly, this is not the first time in July that I've listened to Christmas music. Last week, I was painting in the kitchen and music playing from my iTunes on the computer. Whatever I was listening to ended and switched to a Christmas album. It actually motivated me and put me in a better mood. :)

I will also say that I went to church with swollen eyes today from crying. I was praying that I would feel content at my own church, etc, and very excited about being in town for the weekend and getting to worship with our own church family. Then I checked Twitter and saw a picture that Kristian Stanfill posted. A picture of Christy Nockels warming up and a caption saying that you don't want to miss this. It looked to me like she was going to be singing a solo. I held the phone over the glass shower so Matt could see (while he was showering) and cried, "Please take me to PCC for the 4:00 service, I have to be there." Well, you can see how well that went over. We ended up going to our own church, and it was great. The message was perfect and exactly what I needed to hear. Y'all pray for Matt, so that he can continue to put up with his crazy wife! :)

I hope that everyone is having a blessed Sunday!

Nope. She's not allowed to move. She must stay semi-near in South Georgia! : ) We'll just come visit PCC and Bex! : )
